Aww Hatty, hugs. Losing a loved pet is no small thing, no matter what else is going on. I am so sorry for your loss.

Hey Everyone!!
Wow what a day it's been, looooong is not the word!!! We arrived over an hour early because the suspense was killing us!!!
I had 2 embryos put back....... Finally get in to have our scan and.........
ONE heartbeat, TWO heartbeats and OMG a THIRD heartbeat........ Yes I'm 7 weeks 2 days pregnant with TRIPLETS!!!
So very very happy, shocked and completely gobsmacked is an understatement!!

Oh my goodness that's amazing! Triplets - wow!
Can I ask what kind of symptoms people are having and when did they start? I'll be exactly 6w tomorrow ( my scan day) and I'm having v little and it's really worrying me. No nausea really. Boobs were a bit heavy and sore ( only really when I took my bra off at the end of the day) but now a lot better! I get lower back ache a bit, tiredness about 9 ish ( but I get up at 5.30 so that's not that unusual). I'm just worried as some people have metal tastes, morning sickness from day one etc. I know everyone is different but a bit of a hint would be great! I've had no bleeding so should be thankful for that ( touch wood)
Guess I'll just have to wait but so nervous about getting there and there being nothing! |

Josie- big smile:) that's sooooo amazing! Wow wow wow in fact a triple wow! So if you divide the amount of tests between the 3 little ones, I'm thinking it lowers the average! Soooo pleased for you. It's made me very happy I'm going to text DH cos he asked last pm if there was any news from the serial tester lol xx you're a legend! Catch up soon xx
Sally-that good old nausea has sneaked up on me! Since Monday in fact! Very sleepy but that's about it, so don't worry xx 1 sleep |

WOW!  Josie, that's just greedy! lol, no really, that's simply amazing, and slightly terrifying for me (and possibly you too?!!) as I am thinking of having 2 put back next time and happy with the idea of twins. But triplets! You must be a very cosy plasce to be 
You take some damned good care of your self now, lady. And start practising juggling perhaps!!

Thank you Girls........ I know its greedy, I know Im gonna have my work cut out before and after all of this but bring it on.... this is what Ive been waiting for for so long....
All the heartache and pain, emotions ups and downs is all so worth every last one of them to see those little hearts beating... Im still reeling and in shock!! But will love every single minute Im so so so lucky and privileged.

Hatty - was laughing so hard when you said your DH called me a serial tester lol....  glad your all ok hun, let DH know I still tested yesterday morning too!!

I'm not sure why I'm having more. Maybe it's because I'm not actually based at care? I'm on an nhs cycle and all drugs /scans etc and consultations are at Calderdale hospital in Halifax . They use care in Manchester for the nitty gritty stuff ( ec and et) but now I'm back at Halifax . My first scan was at 6 weeks exactly and next is at 8 weeks 6 days. So still really early. Fertility nurse did say if be signed off then if all ok.
I'm really trying to stay positive but do convinced something is going to go wrong. I'm getting a lot of lower back ache and still trapped wind feelings ang other grumblings down below. Not sure I can wait 3 weeks of tension especially enduring work which is rubbish at the moment . ( day off on Wednesday though as we are striking). There's a screening centre near us and I suspect I may give in and go there! I'm struggling with not knowing its still ok!
Sorry to be on a downer . Is anyone else having trouble with positivity or is it just miserable me? |

Morning Sally!!
Sounds as if you have exactly same as me Hun so try not to worry, trapped wind is prob the pessaries and I'm I'm in agony with my hips and lower back but it's things moving around preparing for the pregnancy! My boobs are also sore and have been from early on but don't worry about sickness, not everyone gets it, I haven't been sick at all, boy have I felt sick but not actually been sick - so STOP WORRYING!!
The sickness for me is like when your really hungry and and empty kind of sickness feeling - weird, don't forget your still just over six weeks and it's still quite early Hun, if your anything like me your fretting every single time you visit the loo!! Just RELAX Hun, your doing well, your not helping yourself or the bean fretting!!!!!!

He he I'm super fretting too! I now have a cold so keep thinking I'm going to sneeze it all out I just really don't know what's going on in there! aren't we all funny
I had really awful nausea mon to thurs, but only when I felt hungry. I keep grazing when I can any excuse! I think I may even have to run to my own heart rate monitor, if I get that far lol!

Well everyone has gone really quiet on here so I'm hoping no news is good news for you all !!
Thought I'd give a quick update on here as I'm struggling to cope with the reality of what has happened to me in the last 2 weeks and have no one to talk to that understands!!
A week last Wednesday I started bleeding heavily and even felt something pass out of me on the loo. Was rushed to hospital by ambulance and basically left in A&E without any nursing staff giving a damn. Even had one say to me "never mind your still young enough to have more", I completely broke down as at that point I realized no one understood the pain, emotion, and mind blowing stuff you go through with every single inch and day of IVF. With my mum and my husband there I still felt completely alone.
I had to wait 24 hours for a scan and if you think the 2ww is torture then believe me this felt longer, the nor knowing. Anyway eventually got taken to a ward and waited to be scanned by the registrar, needed the loo and exactly the same happened as previous day, a gush of blood and again I passed something else..... I'm distraught thinking I had lost two. Eventually get to have a scan, I can't see the screen, looking at the doctor, my mum and DH but can gather nothing from their faces. Eventually the doctor says "so you want the good news or the bad news?" I said good news, and to my complete and utter disbelief I still had 3 healthy heartbeats!! Unbelievable, anyway kept in overnight as still bleeding and a can booked for Thursday just gone.
Arrive at hospital for the scan to see if we could find a reason for the bleed. And to our complete and utter shock he found a 4th sac!! Only to find that it was empty, so I did lose one but still had my triplets which I was originally told about. My head is screwed. Care never picked up my 4th baby, my Quad and I would of had 2 sets of identical twins!!! Just got really upset cos I didn't even know it was there and now this horrible brown stuff is coming away which I can only imagine to be it's remnants of it, I'm just petrified to go to the loo.
I'm eternally grateful that I have my triplets and always will be, they are all doing great, I'm just scared that when they enter the world I will know that the singleton had a brother or sister!! But on the plus side to my crap two weeks I'm now 10 weeks along and believe me I look pregnant, I look like I'm 5 months already!! It's unbelievable how big I've got but then there is 3 little beauties which I'm doing everything in my power to keep hold of!!
Sorry just needed to get this off my chest!! Im not mad at anyone just unsure whether it would have been easier to take if I had known about my little angel I couldn't hold onto |

Oh josie, oh my goodness I'm so sorry I haven't been here in ages. I kept checking but no one replied after my last post so was hoping all ok too thank goodness you are semi ok! I just can't believe there were 4..am speechless which is rare for me
I can't begin to imagine what it was like poor you. Just hang on there with those lovely triplets! Im soo glad they are doing well. I've felt so nauseous since my scan I think I've eaten less than before! I still fit in my normal clothes, so also 10 weeks..should i be grateful lol!?! I heard a friend of mine is expecting twins, so mr hatty is feeling envious My next scan is 12th jan. When I went to my first midwife appointment she said its highly likely I'll be high risk of having a downs baby. ..came away feeling sad about the choices she offered! anyway enough about me! Hi all.
Sorry you've had such a rubbish time of it all jo . X. I've just been discharged from my clinic and am waiting for the midwife to contact me. I'm 9w today. Scan yesterday went well and I've felt brave enough to post on the July 2012 thread in bumps , babies and beyond. I hope to see you both there soon xx
Hatty, sorry to pry but what makes her think you are a high risk? How can she tell at this stage?

Hey sallyally great news about the scan! I can't wait until 12th .. Very anxious not knowing if mini hatty ok:)
Mrs midwife said it's my age..I'll be 41:( end of feb! It'll be a miracle if the results will be better than a 1 in 150 risk..just because I'm old! So no evidence yet other than age! Don't drink smoke and not overweight ... Just wrong side of 30 lol! Think she was just preparing me because youngsters score 1 in '000s. Slightly put a damper on it all you could say I don think I dare post anywhere but here yet .. Now take good care of yourself xx |

| I've read a bit about the age thing too. I'll be 36 in April do am too on the wrong side of 35. Things are never easy are they? I'll be staying on this board as well if you ever want anyone to moan to anyone. I'm a bit annoyed the midwife hasn't phoned me yet . Grrr |
