Lol! Spoke with my mum today, and she pretty much demanded that I think positively, and as I'm a good girl who does what her mother tells her (and if you believe that, you'll believe anything!) I am trying hard.
But a quick question: does anyone else's armpits hurt?! My boobs don't really hurt now, but my pits have been aching all day long. Anyone heard of an association with armpits and pregnancy? Or shall I blame the pesseries for this too? |

Hi Sarah,
Have heard of "swollen glands", i.e groin, armpit etc are a common side of pregnancy...so are bleeding gums, and a stuffy nose bizarrely?
Good luck
Dizzee xx |

Thanks Dizzee, it's nice to have some possible reassurance! Funnily enough, I have both bleeding gums and a stuffy nose too.... although the latter has been a permanent fixture for months, so best not to count that!
Actually, if I didn't know better, I almost feel like I am coming down with flu, as every joint apart from my toes ache!
Another day without bleeding is a good day, tho |

Hi everyone.
LisaDaz - HURRAHHHHH for the BFP!!!! But sorry for the OHSS. I was going to answer about testing before me but I don't need to now. Let's hope that you and Ayla have set the standard on this post now. Well done. xx
Sarah - Ahh hunny, I can totally relate to everything you have said. I spent the weekend being the bitch from hell! I am surprised my DP hasn't told me where to go permanent!! I too have not been resting like I should! We're both naughty! Maybe we should now just try and be ultra positive. Thinking of you. xx
Katie - It's never too late for implantation. it's early days yet and i am aware of some ladies on here (not necessarily this forum) testing early, getting BFN then on OTD getting a BFP. There is hope - try and be positive and lots of rest. xx
Ayla - HURRRAAAAAHH. Another BFP!! That's fantastic news. The discharge must have been implantation. Take it easy now and relax and enjoy. xx
AFM - I am trying to keep a PMA. It's hard when like Sarah, I have nigh on convinced myself that this has not worked. I have not been resting like I should have, I have not been eating particularly well and have not had the right attitude towards this round at all so as of today, i am going to try and be more positive and if I start to lose my PMA, I am going to give myself a huge kick up the arse!!! Happy halloween everyone and have a good monday xx |

Hi Ladies
Well been up and down like a yo yo over the weekend! Been brown shows all day yesterday and now it is turning red which is freaking my our because it is fresh blood and more than just when I wipe. However I have done a test again this morning and there is a very faint line so BFP . I rang CARE about the bleeding and they said this can be normal but if it gets any heavier then to call for reassurance I suppose. Dont know what to think as OTD not til Friday. Hoping not what they call a Bio-chem pregnancy???
Sarah - Lol being told off by your mum, they mean well dont they. Your armpit aches sounds positive. Are you going to sneak a test in soon?
Meadsy - thanks for popping by. Its touch and go at the moment. Very scared it is all going wrong though
Webbo - keep up with the PMA and happy halloween right back. Ive got a pumkin ready to carve with Edward tonight so should be fun and messy. Hope you get a postive result on Thursday hon
On a lunch break at work so was a quick one! Hi to all your pregnant ladies xx |

Hello everyone, hope you don't mind me popping out from nowhere! I have been reading everyones posts, but only just got off my back side to register! Even ran out to buy pineapple juice!
I'm in the middle of my 2WW ( that's about the extent of my abbreviations!). My test date is sun 6th nov, although did originally think it was 16th! Gulp! I am soo bored of doing nothing strenous! DH is having to get up early and doing the animal jobs, including the horse! He claims it's not hard work being me!! He even knows when the refuse and recycling collections are now, but not how the washing machine works
I have no real symptoms of anything, so not sure if good or bad! This was like last time in june, which turned out to be BFN. The only difference being two days of strange upper stomach pain, like id eaten something sharp!! Gone now though! Trying to keep me in one place without superglue, is very difficult..but have been super good, apart from lots of dog walks!!
Back to work for 2 days this week, which may be a good thing:) keep on with all the cheeriness xx |

Hey Everyone!!
Im new to Care site and caught glimpse of your thread, so hope you dont mind me intruding??
Im with Care Northampton. My first IVF cycle was cancelled as I did not respond well to the meds and follicles failed to grow. I have since started a long protocol, had my EC on 17/10/11 and 2 embryo's replaced on Weds 19/10/11, so Im also in the final stages of the dreaded 2ww!!!
My OTD is Fri 4th Nov '11...... I have done some HPT's already but cant really seem to find out how many days past transfer the tests are correct?? It is now 16 days past Pregnyl injection??
Can anyone help??? Wishing all of you all the best of luck xx |

Hi katie - I've got my pumpkin to do tonight too but I fear I may have left it a bit late, plus it's just for me and the cats as DP on nights tonight and I don't intend on answering the door to trick or treaters! Well.....maybe I will for a little while. If you are very worried, go to your local EPU and ask thenm to do hcg bloods for you. They did mine every 48 hours whilst I was going through the ectopic and though it was too early to scan, they were very good to me and reassuring. I find CARE seem to not be that bothered once ET has been done. That sounds harsh but they would not do bloods or scans for me in the 1st instance and it's only when I collapsed for the 3rd time they took note!
Hello Hatty and welcome. Your post made me chuckle about your DH taking over all your "jobs". Just get him trained on the old washing machine and it'll be perfect. Bless him. Lol. I'm having zero symptoms on this fet cycle and it has worried me senseless!! But I have vowed to try and forget about it now until otd on Thursday and no early testing. I'd be too scared to.
Hi Josie - I am at CARE Northampton too. You had ET the same day as me so I was wondering why you are on an 17 day wait to test? I noticed mine is 15 days? Randome how some people are having 14 days, some 15, some 17 and even 18 days? Personally I wouldn't test until otd as if the results are not positive, it could put you on a downward spiral with PMA plus there is always every chance that a BFP wouldn't show until the day of test anyway. I have seen that on here before too. Other than that, hope all is going well
xx |

Welcome Hattie and Josie, ovely to have you with us during the wonderful 2WW!!
If you need help with abbreviations, just ask
As for when you can test, from what I can tell from others on here, every single one of us is different! some can test quite early on and get true positives, while others of us can test on OTD and get false results. So test away Josie, if it makes you feel better, but until you've reached OTD + 48hrs or get AF it really isn't possible to say what is correct or not! Sorry to be of no help what-so-ever!!
Chin up Katie. As we know, bleeding of any colour isn't neccessarily the end. Fingers crossed for you your little one is just having a wriggle around in there, in the process dislodging a bit of lining.
Webbo, happy halloween and keep up the PMA. You don't want me to come over there and help you with that kick up the arse, now do you?!! |

Hi all congrats katie on the bfp yayyyy this is a 100% possitive group so far.
If it helps to all you ladies who are feeling very negative and have little symptoms at all well that was exactly how i felt other than bloating off the ohss so please dont give up just yet as u still have a 50/50 chance.
I still cant quite believe mine i dont think ill believe it till i see it on the scan
I have my first scan in the morning to check on my ohss so im quietly hoping they see something on there.
Anyway best wishes and the best of luck to u all xx

Hi Webbo and Sarah!
Thank for the words of encouragement!! Maybe I passed you when you had your transfer, I only saw 2 ladies there when I had mine done at 11:30am!! Maybe you were one of them??
Ive had no spotting or bleeding, tender boobs, feeling bloated and lower back pain....ooooh and an occasional awful metallic taste in my mouth!???
Ok so i'll own up, Ive so far done 13 tests ranging from Morrisons Own, Clear Blue Digital, Clear Blue, First Response, Lloyds Pharamcy and Tesco's own!!!! Each and EVERY single one say the same thing.........BFP!! Just wondered being 12 days past transfer how true this could be!!
Holding my breath, hoping and praying they are right xx |

Evening Ladies.
Hope you dont mind me jumping on board, have been reading your posts from the side lines. I joined the forum last year, when I started on the whole IVF rollercoaster, but my cycle was cancelled and I couldnt come on anymore as it was just too upsetting.
I'm now on a fresh cycle with two grade 2 passengers on board! Excited muchly doesnt describe it!! Never, ever thought I would get here. OTD is 8th November, hoping I do but dont know if I can wait that long to test!!!
Had no symptoms as such, no implantation bleed, but twinges all day on and off, so that drives me mad thinking is this a good sign or bad?!
Anyway, enough of my waffling for now. Looking forward to getting to know you all and congrats on the ladies with your BFP's.

Hi everyone, thank you for welcoming me, even if I am a late arrival! If nothing else, I hope to keep you all in this 2ww. I've just been to a hockey meeting with orange and black stripey tights on and a comedy inflatable pumpkin hat! Even had to get DH to blow the hat up, cos I didn't dare use any strength lol! Only 5 mins before did we see we needed a foot pump to blow the darn thing up..but DH took another 'me' job in his stride! It won't last! Imagine my surprise when none of the others were in fancy dress!
Hello nottsgirl..I am a Notts girl also
Josie .. I'm far too scared to do anything before test date!
Sarah..thank you for the hello! Was worried no one would notice who gatecrasher hatty was!
Webbo .. My friend who what she doesn't know isn't worth knowing said no symptoms is good! So let's keep |

Hi
Well not looking good here. Ive started heavy bleeding with clots now , still faint positive but cant see anything going to be left after this bleed, it is like period. Ive taken day off work today to try and rest but just want to know one way or another. I will not be suprised if I test BFN on Friday now.
Sorry to put a downer on things.
Welcome to the new ladies, good luck with your cycle, this is a very positive thread with plenty of bfp |

Katie - I'm so sorry to hear your news. Do make sure you get lots of rest. I understand about just wanting to know once and for all - it's so hard isn't it. Praying that it is not what it seems and thinking of you lots. xxxxx
I'll do my other post after a cuppa now!!! Blinking forum! |

Congrats Josie, altho 13 tests made me giggle!
Welcome Nottsgirl and good luck for otd, if you do manage to make it that far!
Katie, honey, I'm so sorry the bleeding has gotten worse. Maybe the rest will help, I do hope so.
I am proud of myself for resisting testing today! I even peed in a cup and everything, but threw it away. I'm only 9dpt and 14dpo, so I figured too early (tho maybe not, judging by others here). Want to hold off for another couple of days, but it is getting harder! |

Hi Ladies. I'm going to try again with my catch up post!! I'll copy and paste the bugger this time!!
Lisa - Hope your scan went well this morning if you have had it, and that you are feeling better. It'll be amazing if you could see something there though when they scanned me for my ectopic, they couldn't find it until over 7 weeks!! Let us know how you are. xx
Josie - My fet was late afternoon so I wouldn't have seen you. I chuckled when you coughed to testing, naughty girl but BFP is amazing!! Well done you. I can see no reason why you should worry it is anything other than it is so relax and enjoy xx
Nottsgirl - welcome. I totally relate to the staying away ethos. I did just that after my ectopic and M/C but I am glad I am back as I feel relaxed here chatting to people that understand how it all feels and don't judge. I am terrible for trying to analyse symptoms and as I am having none this time, I'm analysing that instead!! LOL!! But I guess whatever will be will be and I have to try and be more positive this week. Glad my posts make you smile! I am nuts at the best of times let alone being a drug induced nut!! Lol xx
Suze - You had et the same day as me. You are brave. I just cannot bring myself to test yet as I am happy in my blissful ignorance at the moment so I will hang out until Thursday. Congratulations on the BFP, that's amazing!! Can you remind me what DPO means? I know the 1st 2 words but the O bit has thrown me. xx
Hatty - I hope what your friend says about no symptoms being good is true. It took me a few reads to realisewhat you meant and then it suddenly made sense! I really am a dimwit at the moment! Poor you in the fancy dress and poor DH having to blow it up!! He must have felt on a dizzy high for the rest of the night! Ha ha xx
Sarah - hang in there with the non testing. I'm finding it hard too but I am hoping that if I hang on till the end, what may have shown as a bfn will show as a bfp instead. xx
Afm - feeling a lot better attitude wise this week and just eagerly awaiting Thursday. I suppose one thing if it is bfn is I can get my butt to the gym and exercise. I'm starting to resemble a house!! Or should I say bungalow as I am only a shorty at 5'4"!!! Lmao! xx |
