Hi all
I am new to these boards (well I have read them all but never posted). I am currently on my 2ww and OTD is on Wednesday 25th, I have Just done a hpt this morning and got a BFP!!!!! Shocked doesn't even come close! But am worried now that I have tested too early and that by the time OTD arrives it will have changed to a BFN... What do you think is it genuine? Or am I too early?

Hi Lilly30,
Lots of ladies test early and get positives, some earlier than others. It all depends as to when your embryo implanted. Some ladies test daily in the second week and it may be that you don't get a bfp until your otd which can cause extra stress! If you are 100% sure you want to test early you could do a test earlish to see that the hcg has left your system and test daily from there on. Please remember though it can add a lot of stress that you really could do without!
It also depends on which day you had your transfer, day 2, 3 or blasts....with blasts you'd get a accurate result earlier probably around day 8 - 10. Have you had a read of the IVF IMPLANTATION guide on here, it's v interesting...

Hi Ladies,
Thank you for your comments I still can't quite believe the test result as this is our first time of actually making it to this stage! I guess I won't believe it until I have been back to Care and had confirmation.

| Congratulations M, my OTD also 25th and I just tested today and got BFP also!! Now though more waiting for OTD then scan. So much waiting. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. Jo x |

Congratulations Jo that's great news, I am still trying to hold back a little though still not convinced it is going to stay positive (despite doing another test this morning and getting the same result) anyway we will wait and see. I hope all goes well for you, relax and enjoy.
Which care are you with by the way? I am at Manchester.

| I'm at Manchester too, I think they're lovely there. I plan on testing everyday now til 25th and then I'll probably do another between that and scan. I lknow what you mean I'm trying to be hopeful and cautious at same time! Don't want to risk telling anyone til at least had 1 scan. X |

| I agree Jo they are lovely there, they really make you feel at ease. I too have been testing every day lol each day with the same result 1-2 weeks pregnant ( well apart from today's which had changed to 2-3 weeks pregnant) so I guess I feel a little better about things now.... Bring on OTD tomorrow and then hopefully the scans. |
