Hi Guy's!

Glad to hear everyone is doing ok

Phoenix sorry to hear hubby was poorly, you must have been tearing your hair out Smile glad to hear he's on the mend and lending a hand. My hubby has been doing great on night feeds allowing me to snooze.

3wishes, I'm dreading the vaccinations. Alexa's shots are next week. She took her first like a champ though.

AFM Alexa has improved 100% thank you God Smile we don't know what the hell it was but it was awful!! Quick as the crying came....it went? Don't get me wrong she still has a grizzle, but nothing like it was. Still up for her 0100 feed, then usually wake about 0600.

How's everyone else doing at night?
Dizzee

Hi Girls!

3w - how was baby massage are you & Sophia enjoying the course? We can't start until Sep as they don't run them over the summer holidays in my area, & Edith had to be 6 weeks to start.

Dizzee - glad to hear Alexa is doing better! We had a screaming day last Friday Edith had an upset tummy, she would scream & scream then trump be ok for 2 mins the start screaming again & trump 2 mins later bless her. She literally screamed from 7am to 5pm, with about an hour break at lunch time I was tearing my hair out. However I know exactly what caused it. I have been using colief, but had put it in hot water - this breaks the enzyme down so I think it was the lactose in the formula. I just have to ultra careful to always use colief! She has been absolutely fine since then thankfully Smile

On sleeping Edith sounds very similar to Alexa. She goes down around 21.00, sleeps till 01.00 or 2.00, then sleep again till 05.00 or 06.00, then sleeps again to 08.00 or 09.00. So we are pretty lucky!

Hi ladies, how is everyone?

Dizzee - how was Alexa with her vaccinations? I'm sure she was a brave little girl. How is the feeding going?

Phoenix - How is Edith doing? Has she had any check ups or vaccinations yet?

Sophie loves the baby massage and loves meeting the other babies. The turn out was pretty poor (I don't know why), so they moved me and another lady to another day and there is still only 4 of us. Its the last session tomorrow. She was so good when she had her vaccinations. She cried a little but had settled by the time we were back in the waiting room.

afm - started horse riding again last week. It was so lovely to get back on a horse. Have started exercising as well. Want to get fit and lose my excess weight, only got 10lb to go. I can actually now fit into some of my pre pregnancy clothes

Hi all,

Sorry it has been so long! I have been a bot busy Surprised) I hope all you ladies are well, I haven't had time to catch up on what has been going on but I will. I hope everyone is loving their little miracles.

I did notice at the top of the previous page that Phoenix you said you had PUPPS, I did too, it was horrendous! Have you still got it? They said it would go after delivery, but 10 weeks on and I am still battling with it, no where near as bad as before I had him, but it is still very annoying. Apparently it is very rare for it to continue afterwards, trust me to be the odd one!

Anyway, I will try and catch up on everyone's news soon, I hope all the babies are bouncing and sleeping through the night! LOL!

Hubie is 10 weeks old and a little cutie, 10lb 8oz, and very changeable, he has slept through the night a couple of times, but at the moment he is waking every 45 mins! I think this is because the Health visitor has told me not to swaddle him, so we have stopped that and I think he is now waking himself up, plus we started to give him a dummy and I think maybe he is waking up looking for it. We hav now taken the dummy away at sleep times and I am sure he will get over the changes soon. Mum has just had him for a few hour and I have had a lovely sleep! Happy days!

I will be back on soon.

Hi Ladies,

Its been a while since I've been on have been so busy with Edith! She has had a rotten cold so had a tough couple of weeks but back on track now. I can't believe she is 12w old already! She has been sleeping through the night quite a bit over the past couple of weeks which is amazing!

Sam - glad to hear Hubie is doing so well. Another PUPP sufferer it was horrendous wasn't it! My PUPP went straight after delivery so I was lucky, can't imagine how frustrating it must be to still have it. I hope you have seen the back of it now?

3w - Edith is doing great next set of jabs are this week. The last set were horrible but she was ok afterwards, so I'm hoping she is ok this time too! I am now back to pre pregnancy weight hurrah it is so nice to be able to get back in my old clothes. Hope Sophie is ok!

xx

hi all,

sorry not been on for ages.......
Congratulations to everyone on their little miracles. Hope all are still doing well.

Alfie is 19 weeks now and absolutely gorgeous. He has a bit of a cold at the mo so is a bit grizzly and has started waking in the night again. We had got to 10 hours unbroken but now lucky if we get 6. Have started weaning with baby rice and porridge, he is loving it and weighs almost 17 pounds now. Laughing

I am loving being a mum and will not be looking forward to returning to work. I have another 6 months left so don't have to think about it too much yet.

I hope you are all well and enjoying motherhood.

Take care

Hi Ladies, how is everyone? Don't seem to get a minute to post on here lately but I often think of you all and wonder how everyone is getting on with their little miracles.
I can't believe Sophie is 18 weeks old already, where does the time go? Have booked her nursery place to start next March. I too have 6 months left before returning to work (full time unfortunately). I hope the time doesn't go too quickly.

Sophie was weighed a couple of weeks ago and weighed 12lb 12oz so she has doubled her birth weight, and I have switched to hungry milk as she was feeding every 2 1/2 hours. It felt like she'd no sooner finished one bottle and it was time for another so we didn't have much time for playing and 'chatting'. She absolutely hates going on her tummy, any tips gratefully received

Hi Ladies,

It's been a while since I've been on here, now that I'm not at work and on mat leave I rarely seem to find the need to come onto the computer. I tend to keep up with facebook via my phone and that's about it! As the other ladies have said I do think about you all though, and wonder how you are all doing.

I'm glad to hear everyones LOs are doing well. Edith is now 19w old and doing so well, she is currently 13lb9oz. We have tried baby rice/cereal recently but she doesn't seem bothered, I am going to give it another few weeks. She is on 25th centile and not the hungriest baby, I'm sure she'll let me know when she is ready.

3w - Edith also hates tummy time so no tips I'm afraid. She loves standing up so I have a feeling she may miss out the crawling stage and go straight to walking - this is common with babies who don't like tummy time apparently - so maybe Sophie will be the same? I bought her a Jumperoo recently which see seems to quite like.

Phoenix ... I was so pleasantly surprise for you too ... and I just had to tell my DH your news (and described you as I did on my thread). He was thrilled for you too ... you so deserve this!

I do stalk you whenever I can ... I really hope that I congratulated you and your DH on the arrival of your DD. Otherwise, I am ashamed that I was too engrossed in my own stuff, and I would like to apologise if I didn't!

Hope you are enjoying every minute of mummyhood. I am sooooo happy for you ... words just can't express how much.

Phoenix that fab news,

They do say you at your most fertile just after having a baby...mainly if you're not breast feeding anymore! That's wonderful.i'm still getting my head round having one lol. Although I have to say she is a dream now, she likes to sit up with her hands in front of her, so hopefully she'll be sitting up straight in a month or so. Still sleeping through the night too, which is a blessing! Just think we were all pregnant this time last year...worrying ourself over everything...at least I was. Please keep us posted Phoenix & good luck

I wish I did. Just got nursery painted and carpeted. Need to put up changing unit and cot still, test pram, fit car seat, buy nappies etc, not sure on how much clothes to buy (driving me mad!), need to pack hospital bg etc etc.

Not easy when spd plays up nod now swollen feet and knees. Lol. Plus hubby in jersey for nearly 2 weeks. Grrr

I'll get there tho. Hopefully before he arrives! Maybe!

Ah it is hard work, but try not to worry too much though hun, baby will be in his moses basket to start so doesn't matter if nursery not quite done. On the clothes front I'd buy very little I got so many gifts of 0-3 she barely had chance to wear them! if you have 6 sleepsuits 6 vests and a snowsuit that will plenty to start then you can buy anything else once you've been through your gifts. TBH much as the little outfits are cute they are most comfortable in the sleepsuits anyway! Hope you get sorted Smile.xx

OMG its all happening here, Phoenix CONGRATULATIONS on your natural miracle BFP, I'm soooo pleased for you and your DH Very Happy . Have you got over the shock yet?
How is Edith doing, any advances with the weaning and has she started crawling yet?

Sophie is doing well, the weeks are flying by though. I can't believe she is nearly 6 months old already. We tried baby rice about a week ago which she loves but its still only a few spoonfulls a day at the minute. She is also trying to crawl. She can roll over no problem and actually now doesn't mind being on her tummy (I never thought I would see the day) but she doesn't move anywhere and gets really frustrated. Every day there is something new, its so wonderful being a mummy.

I never though I would say this but I actually miss being pregnant, maybe not the sickness, but when you get your bump and when you feel your baby kick its the most amazing feeling in the world.

F&T - I'm so glad that everything is going well for you now. I do pop on to check how you are doing. I can't believe you only have a few weeks to go. It feels like the time has gone really quick (it probably doesn't feel like that to you though). Phoenix has given some good advice about the clothing. One thing I would say is that make sure you know how the car seat fits in the car. I bought my pram months before I was due and planned to practice fitting the car seat and then I delivered early and didn't have time to do so. The last thing you want is to be taking your LO home after you have delivered and not be sure how the car seat should be fitted

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Dizzee - i must have missed your post last time i was on sorry. I'm glad she is doing well, and still sleeping through bless her. They are all changing so fast. I'm stunned to be hsving another can't believe it, i'm still getting my head around one too,! x

3w - thankyou, no we havent got over the shock yet although with the morning sickness kicking in I am starting to believe it lol. We're not doing well with weaning Edith is hit & miss with her milk & has taken to keeping her mouth shut when i try to feed. I think we'll try in a week or 2 once she's 6mth. No crawling here as she still hates tummy time, we try every day but we just get screaming. She can stand though, propped against a sofa or something. Sounds like Sophie is raring to go though! xx

Hi Phoenix, how are you doing. Has the morning sickness settled at all yet? Have you got your 12 week scan booked yet? It will be so exciting. How is baby Edith doing, any new changes to report?

Sophie weighs 15lb 5oz now and she is also on 25th centile. Sleeves and trousers are always too long for her (bless). Still sleeping all through the night, she is such a good girl. Everyone who meets her says how content she looks. Weaning going ok, not really sure what I'm doing, just making it up as I go along. Not having much luck with beakers rather than bottles though. I'm sure we'll get there in the end.

Hi 3w! I'm doing ok thank you but had this awful norovirus bug last week on top of the morning sickness though which was unpleasant. Starting to feel a little better now thankfully. We have the scan next Thursday just hoping it's all ok. I've not had any issues so fingers crossed it'll all be good.

Edith is doing very well she too is now 15lb7oz! She's sitting up now seems happy to be able to play more. Still struggling with weaning the HV has suggested we try baby led ie letting her feed herself which has been a bit better.

Are you looking forward to Christmas? Have you got Sophie much? We bought Edith a jumperoo but she's had a while yet. I need to get a few more bits!

Hi Phoenix, hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Hope you're feeling much better now. I've never had norovirus but its a really nasty bug to have and to get it as well as having morning sickness, you deserve a medal!

How did your scan go? I hope everything is fine and there is only one little bubba in there.

How is Edith doing, I bet she got lots of things for Christmas. Any better with the weaning?

Sophie got lots of toys and an animal rocker. You can't move in the living room now with the Christmas tree, baby walker, rocker, playmat etc. Our poor dog thinks its an assault course! Sophie is sitting up on her own now but still no crawling. She does like trying to stand though. I had some professional photos taken of her last week. Have ordered a CD of them so when I get it, I will try and put a pic on next time I post.

Looks like there's just the two of us posting on this thread now

Hi 3w!

Glad to hear you had a good Christmas, it sounds like Sophie had a lovely time too. I know the feeling 're: the toys are us house Edith got lots of lovely presents that are taking over the house! We had a good time it was great to have Matt at home for a week!

The scan went really well just one little baby, & everything is looking good so far. I've been given a slightly earlier due date than my estimate - they've said 02 July. I'm starting to feel a little better now but still tired & a bit sticky.

We' 're doing slightly better with the weaning but still not great - she' 'll have about 1/4 of an Ella' s kitchen pouch at lunch so a little better.

Does look like there's just us 2 on here now!

xx
