Hi there, I had my scan yesterday and I have one healthy bean with a heartbeat. It's so relieving to actually see it and v emotional too. DH had a little tear as well as me. It's measuring 8 weeks so my due date will be 11th August!!!
I've been discharged from Care now, next steps to book GP appointment and have my first appointment with the midwife!!! How exciting...
Good luck to everyone else and keep updating on your progress.

Good luck for your scan Dianne, it must be nearly here now, is it on the 3rd?
I have been sleeping really badly and feeling really awful, I made the stupid mistake of eating too much for tea last night and felt thoroughly awful last night, so my new years resolution is to eat healthy small frequent meals, luckily I slept a bit better last night so feel much better today so hope that continues, How are the rest of you coping with the early pregnancy symptoms? |

Thanks Ruby, my scan is tomorrow afternoon. I am currently going through waves of excitement then panic in case something is wrong. Not sure how I will sleep tonight, then get through a full day at work before the scan.

Hello all, I hope you don't mind me joining you.
I know I'm a bit late but have been following developments. Congratulations to everyone for getting this far. Hope you are all feeling well.
I had my eight week scan on 28 December and it's twins, two tiny heart beats. Shocked but not a complete surprise as two embryos transferred.
Not feeling too bad, just a bit queasy at times.
Has anyone been doing any exercise other than walking? I feel I need to do more. I'm going to ask the midwife next week if I can go swimming - Care advised against it, guess they are just cautious.

Well done Dianne - it's is such a relief when you see it fluttering away.
Hi there see2see - congrats on your two little ones. I'm not going to start to do anything more exerting then walking until I am 12 weeks. Before I did the egg collection I was dancing every week and I'll be going back after 12 weeks plus I'm going to start yoga as well. I don't see anything wrong in doing swimming and it's good for you and the baby too. Ask the midwife I'm sure she'll be able to give you a whole better perspective on exercising.

| Had my private acan today and Oh my god! It's perfect!! Measuring 11weeks 1 day! It was moving it's arms and legs everywhere a right wriggler! We could even see the fingers! Good strong heartbeat too! Yay so far!! Xx |

Set2see congrats on the 2 heartbeats.
I want one, I'm tempted by a private scan too. I really can't see me lasting another 4 weeks til 12 weeks!! Although my husband is saying no at the moment

I want one that sounds fab!!! I'm still tempted too Dianne to do a private scan but I think I night opt for a private 3d scan when I'm further along. Just thinking of the costs as well.

I've just seen my cousins 22 week 3D scan and it looks amazing.
On the bumps Babies and beyond section, there is a post for people who are due in August. (I only found it cos I clicked on the wrong thing!!) I'm going to start looking on there too

See2See - congrats on twins, you are a couple of weeks ahead of me.
AFM - been for my 8 week scan at Care today and it was amazing,The 2nd sac that looked like it had implanted had progressed a little and the sonographer got the consultant in to check. He said it looked tiny but looked to have progressed but would most likely not progress any further, we were not upset as at the last scan the other scan looked empty.
But he had a good check of the other sac and measured our baby at 8 weeks +5 and had a good look at it with the 3d scan and you could make out the facial features forming and we managed to listen to the heartbeat, it was amazing to hear it. NHS 12 week scan booked for 7th Feb and now discharged from Care
