Hi all,
The GTT wasn't as bad as i thought. It tasted like a very sugary cheap orange juice. Worst part was having to sit for 2 hours, couldnt walk around as it can burn the glucose off !!
Jomosh have u finished work yet ? , enjoy your GTT, hehe
littlemrsc - i love my afternoon naps, seeing as i don't get much sleep at night
sallyally - glad your feeling great, blooming as my midwife says.
livinginhope - glad all is well and no infection
Take care x x |

Vicki, glad the GTT wasn't as bad as you had expected (apart from the enforced resting for two hours!)
I made it through the whole day today without a nap, which has got to be a good thing as my blood test results came back and I'll be back at work on Wednesday (tomorrow is my day off!!) as my blood tests for Slapped Cheek came back clear - I'm immune and haven't been infected recently *phew* |

Been to the midwife today and had my GTT blood test results back and they are border line. Apparently my pre GTT bloods were excellent but post GTT bloods were slightly over the norm !! , so the consultant has requested to see me next week, to plan my antenatal care, more scans and bloods etc. My midwife said not to worry, its a precaution. I was upset at first but at least baby will be getting extra attention. Also baby is transverse and back to back so the mw said if it hasnt moved by my next appointment with her then they will refer me for another scan, so i dont know if im coming or going at the minute.
Hope everyone else is ok ??
Littlemrsc - yay you've managed not to have a nap ! but dont feel guilty, i certainly dont. good news on the slapped cheek results.

Hi - all well here. Baby constantly moving which s fab ( but of ourse makes me worry when I don't feel him for a cople of hours!)
We've got a 3 d scan on Saturday which I can't wait for but I'm trying not to wish away my Easter holidays!
I had to give myself a talking to ths morning - felt depressed when I looked in the mirror as clothes not fitting right ( I've always had a bit of a thing about my weight) anyway feeling fine now - I'm so happy to be preggers. X trying not to wish away he pregnancy but just so can't wait until July. I wish I could time travel until then have him for a couple of days and ten pop him back in
Also started to think about what we need - eek
Have a lovely week everyone
Sally

Morning all - didn't want us missing off the 1st page.
sallyally - 1 more day to go and you get to see him, exciting !! I've also been looking at what i need, so this weekend i have made it my mission whilst DH is decorating im going shopping.
living in hope- how u feeling now ?, glad baby has been active though.
littlemrsc - how are you feeling ?
Jomosh- Have you had your GTT yet ?
AFM - i've had a nice week off work, not looking forward to going back on Monday. On the plus side only 5 and a half weeks left at work. Got my 1st anti natal class on Tuesday not sure quite what to expect, probably scare my DH a bit more. Had my review with the consultant yesterday re my GTT, which was a waste of time, told to reduce sugar intake and they would see me in 4 weeks, but they aren't doing anymore blood tests as they are satisfied with my previous results........ all that worry for nothing
Have a nice easter weekend. x |

Hi all
25 weeks today
Unfortunately dh has been asked to work tomorrow and as he's self employed and he can charge 2.5x rate we have rescheduled 3d scan until next Saturday. I'm a bit disappointed tbh but trying not to be irrational which isn't easy with all these extra hormones! Also I have secretly looked into it and may get better pictures at 26 weeks but not letting him off that easy I'm enjoying him earning his brownie points:) we went out for a lovely meal last night and he's made breakfast this morning.
I think I've hit the finding it difficult to sleep mode. I'm usually ok dropping off when I go to bed but then wake around 3 needing a wee ( despite reducing what I drink from tea time onwards). I then lay there debating whether to go or not but always end up doing. This wakes you know who up ( baby slack) and then I have an hour + of being kicked in the guts. Don't get me wrong I love the feeling but I would love it even more little one if it was in daylight. Hey oh the joys - and its only going to get worse
Happy Easter everyone
Sally

Hi everyone,
Good luck for your scan tomorrow Sally, you will be able to see so much detail of your little baby. cant remember, do you know if its a boy or girl ?
Livinginhope - i love hearing the heartbeat, im thinking of hiring a doppler to hear it myself, but think i would get a little obsessed. GTT isn't that bad, its the sitting and waiting thats boring.
Hope everyone else and their bumps are doing well.
Went to my 1st anti-natal class,it was quite interesting. But 2 hours of labour talk almost scared my hubby to death. Dont know how he'll cope in the real thing. Next weeks class is on coping with a new baby, and all the baby talk makes it feel soooo real now.

Hi
Scan was amazing - he's definitely a boy!
He was awkward at first so ended up with nearly 20 mins of video ( only paid for 5-10) and tonnes of pics as they also used me as a guinea pig for a new scanner as well.
Can't wait to meet him properly now
Sally

| Sally, sounds like your scan was very successful. I had my 25 week check this week and all seems well. I still haven't told my class - or the parents at school - yet. I had a very strange look from one patents this week though, so I may have to go public soon. I can't bear the thought of being the topic of school gate gossip, and it will mean I have more clothes to choose from.... Only a few of my tops hide my 40" waistline, and even then they're not invisibility cloaks! |

Hope everyone and their bumps are ok ?
Sally- good news about your scan and glad HE is definitely a boy (hehe) Have you decided on a name for your little boy ?
littlemrsc -I think some people don't like to ask incase they offend you. I managed to get to 30 weeks at work without everyone knowing, i wasn't trying to hide it, my uniform isn't very flattering and hung over bump. Im now 32 wks and there is no way i can hide this bump !!
livinginhope - how scary for you ! glad all is well with u and baby now. Have you taken some time off work?
I ended up in hospital last week too. I went faint, had palpitations and high BP, my GP sent me straight to pregnancy assessment unit and they monitored me for 6 hrs, they sent me home and signed me off for 10 days, turns out i had a urine infection. after a weeks worth of antibiotics i now feel much better.
Has anyone thought about when they are going to pack their hospital bag and what they are putting in it?

Yes he's definately a boy - just like his daddy - no shame in that department!
I'm fine - 28 weeks today although time does seem to have slowed down again! I can't believe there's only 12 weeks to go but on the other hand it seems ages away - does anyone feel the same?
Hope everyone else is ok and hanging in there
Sending Friday hugs

| Hi ladies! Can I join you please? Have posted on the August thread as well as not sure which one I fit into. Official due date is August but i'll be induced at 37 weeks which will be July. I'm 24 weeks pregnant with twins (pink and blue) and have been watching this thread for a while. I think I haven't posted before as I've been worried about something going wrong with my pregnancy. I've had quite a few complications including 3 hospital admittions, but I know I need to start to have faith that I'm going to be a mum. How are you all getting on with your pregnancies? Have you done much preparation yet? |
