Hi ladies,
Sorry I missed you Wendy but hope you have a fantastic time away. Enjoy the sun and time away. I sure Theo will have fun with his cousins.
The wedding I went to was lovely but very hot. The reception was held in a marquee and it was 30 degrees. Luckily we didn't go in to it till after 5 but still stuffy. I came out 2 and a half hours later feeling very exhausted so at 8 we left. The flip flops were fine and after worrying about being under dressed I shouldn't have as the groom sister was wearing linen trousers a vest top and flip flops.
I am due on 25th nov, eek. (26 weeks) try not to think about the birth as I had a few issues last time so I am hoping a change in hospital will help.

Millycurlylocks - I'm sure all will be absolutely fine when you stop your drugs...we all worry don't we and wouldn't be any different if it was 14, 16, 20 wks etc. I was told by 12 wks the placenta is fully formed and takes over and it's then like any 'normal'pg.
Maybe if you're that worried or for some reassurance ask for another prescription from Care for a fortnight which will take you up to your consultant apt? Just a thought cos I know I stayed on all my meds last time until after my NT scan 13 to 14 wks.
Try not to worry, you're doing a brilliant job of cooking bubba! xx Congratulations to getting to 12 wks ...can't wait to join you x |

Hi ladies,
Thought I would check in before I go on holiday tomorrow for a week. Heartburn is really gettting to me now - all times of day and night. My sleep is rubbish at times and I am awake for 2 hours at a time. A couple of nights ago DH was snoring and I ended up in tears as I couldn't get back to sleep so had to go into another room with numerous pillows as heartburn was killing plus I was getting beaten up by a little girl. I had glucose tolerance test on Monday but the result for the fastening test were fine but the hospital have lost the one after the hideous lucozade claiming there was only one sample. Not sure if I have to have it again now or if they are not bothering.
Katie - I guess you must been getting close to your due date??
Milly - Hope you are well and feeling good?
VIP - when is your 12 week scan?
Wendy - hope your holiday was great
Jules - How are you doing with slimming world. I am starting ww in January as got a wedding in August.

Hi ladies,
Back from a great week away and now got the boring washing to do. I managed full night sleeps apart from wee stops and then the first night home I was up for 30mins. Got GTT test number 2 on Friday, I just can't wait. I am 31 weeks now and I have a growth scan next Wed.
Milly - hope your scan went well

Hi ladies.
Well, sorry I haven't been around. I've been finding it quite difficult to be on the boards for the last few months and have only really kept up with the Lovely LAdies on the over 40s thread.
Anna, you must be due in about 5 weeks or so. Hope you're ok and excited that baby will be arriving soon. Hope your GTT test was ok.
Milly, how are you doing? Hope your 12 week scan went ok and that you're sailing towards the 20 week mark now.
Jules, fantastic news on your weight loss, well done you. I've lost no weight. In fact, I've probably put weight on. I'm the absolute fattest I've ever been. it's horribly depressing really.
VIP, we've spoken on the other thread, but congrats on your NT scan results. Great that you're coming off all your meds now, I bet that will be a relief.
Lucy - waves and hugs. Sorry I've not been in touch much, just don't seem to have the time to do anything these days.
As for me, well Theo turned 3 in mid September. He's growing up so fast and is becoming a real character. he's got this way that even when I'm grumpy with him, he sidles up to me and gives me this cheeky sideways smile that always makes me laugh. he'll get away with murder that boy!
My plans have all been a bit up in the air, as I wasn't sure whether I wanted to cycle again, or if I could, as I had to wait to see the thyroid consultant (I came off the thyroid meds in May) to see if my thryoid was functioning normally before I could make any decisions. So today was crunch time and I'm amazed that my thyroid results have come back as normal. So, I'm ok to do one final round of IVF. so I've been on the phone to Sheffield today and am hopefully starting in about 3 weeks. My last AF started on Monday (1st Oct), so D/R may start about 24 Oct (my cycle is 31 days, so it will be day 23 or 24 rather than day 21). The only risky factor is whether my BMI will be low enough. I'm just over half a stone heavier than when I last cycled and I think she'll weigh me on 15th and if it's over 35 I don't know if they'll let me carry on, which will mean waiting until the new year to cycle, which I'd be gutted about (I wanted to get last cycle in whilst I was still 37).
So health kick starts tomorrow. Back on the Diet Chef, really strict for the next 9 days until I go on 15th... Hmm, might be setting myself up for a fall here...
Anyway, that's about it. Jules, have you managed to bring your DH round yet?
Wendy xx |

Wendy woohoo about your thyroid hope the diet chef thing goes well, I was looking at it before I started SW but couldn't find an easy way to feed dh as he doesn't need to lose any weight cos of all the stupid long distance running he does!
We haven't really decided anything yet, waiting for the new year so we have some holiday to actually have the time off for stuff and also the ever present need for funds :-\
Sister in law is due this weekend am scared its going to break me, hoping I'm just being melodramatic, we shall see I guess
Got my fingers crossed you can go ahead at the end of the month.

Jules - Hope the weekend was manageable. I used to avoid events like that completely. It certainly helps getting DH onboard. I used to make alsorts of ww meals for me and DH.
Wendy - Sorry to hear you are finding it tough but completely understandable. DS is becoming very cheeky at times with his developing character too. DS is constantly telling me I am silly and telling me to go in time out.
Hi everyone else - Hope you are doing well.
AFM - I am 34w4d today. My second GTT was normal. In general doing well. My granny went for an appt yesterday and now has a secondary cancer in her neck (bone cancer) and has been hospitalised (medical emergency) until she has had more radiotherapy and is able to be mobile again. She isn't allowed to move - has a neck brace on to. While I have tried to tell my parents she isn't right as she rapidly deteriorated since mid Aug, luckily her consultant acted yesterday when she went in for a consultation. She is in a hospital an hour away so got to try and juggle that as well as my business and my Zach oh and being pg.
I am devastated and have to hope she will meet her new great grandaughter but just can't see at the moment.

Jules good luck with saving, I know what a nightmare it is.
Anna hope your grandma is doing ok.
Milly, how are you?
VIP how are you? Did you get your nuchal results? Sorry if I've missed it...
Well all went ok at the clinic yesterday. Papers are signed, drugs are ordered (although I've managed to get a few cheap from some of the lovely ladies on here), going to pay for IVF shortly, I start DR on 25th October, so it's back on the roller coaster for the 5th and final time... Wish me luck ladies, I'm going to need it.

Thanks VIP, sort of starting to get excited now, although not particularly looking forward to all the injections again...
Just seen on FB that Katie has had her baby (don't know how I missed it...)
She had a baby boy, Thomas (not sure when, think it was early October). I'm sure she won't mind me telling you all.
Soooo, huge congratulations to Katie, your DP and big brother Edward.
