Hi Girls,

I thought I would start a topic for those of us who are trying again naturally.

Me - More IVF not an option due to low egg numbers advised donor eggs, but have fell pg naturally twice since last IVF so trying naturally for baby no 3 fingers crossed. Had 4 m/c so very scared about the whole thing but feel I need to keep trying.

I'm having weekly accupuncture and trying to lose some weight and cut alcohol and fatty foods down. Not doing ovulation sticks as don't want to get hung up on them.

Anyone want to join me?

Babydust to all

Louise x

I have 2DD from ICSI treatments at CARE. Before we found out we had fertility problems we always wanted at least 4 children.
So, with all funds drained and not wanting to go through all the medical intervention that comes with IVF we have been trying for about a yr and a half without so much as a whiff of a positive. Cycle usually v regular and am quite the expert at 'knowing' when I'm ovulating but still no luck.
Time isn't on my side as I'm 37 in a couple of weeks so not sure how much longer we will keep on trying.
Sometimes I'm so positive about it, especially after reading about all the miracles that have happened to some of you lovely ladies but other times when AF shows her ugly face I get so down I sometimes wonder why am I doing this?
Anyway, after all that waffle-I'd love to join you, if thats ok x

Hi Louise and Wishuponastar,

We'd love to join you. We are ttc naturally, weve also been trying about a year and half since having Lewis. I'm same as you Louise (my old cycle buddy Smile) ivf using OE not an option due to low ovarian reserve and advised DE. We have put our name down on the waiting list for DE but still not 100% about it all. It's not helped by the fact i feel cheated at my age, 34 this year! I'm having acupuncture, started weekly early January but now having it fortnightly. My AF's are alot more regular since starting acupuncture, every 28 days, whereas before could be anything from day 26 to day 33! No luck yet though Sad

Fingers crossed we all get a natural miracle, although i've never had one since ttc other than Lewis of course Smile

Love Kitty xxxx

Hi Girls,

Thanks for joining me, kitty never give up hope on my last cycle we only had 1 follicle max drugs they wanted to cancel but we knew it was our last chance and went ahead i did get pg but m/c. Have since had 2 natural pgs I never thought that would happen.
As you have got to wait anyway won't do any harm to keep trying whilst you get your head around things.

The only thing I can say is when I have got pg naturally they were on months where we were distracted on holiday lots going on etc It was alwaysin the back of my head but not in the front like normal months if that makes sense.

Hatty we must get together, the boys are fine Milo is an absolute monkey, cries non stop unless he is picked up very draining but then has magical moments where all is forgiven. Finn is enjoying school and growing fast cannot believe he is nearly 5.
How is Darcie? I bet she rules the roost.

Hang on in there wish, have you tried accupuncture? Its good you are in tune with your cycle, I bet your girls keep you busy.

My cycle is going to pot since the m/c it has gone 33,31,27,25 was hoping the accu would get it to a steady 28 days oh well not a lot I can do.

Love Louise x

Louise-I actually went for accupuncture with my last ICSI cycle. I really enjoyed the sessions as I got time out and was doing something for me, even if it was having needles stuck into me!! My lady was fantastic and specialises in fertility accupuncture. Unfortunately, with being a SAHM I just can't afford the sessions.
I do try and keep positive but that few seconds when you realise AF has arrived is so heart breaking.

Hope your cycles sort themselves out. When I had DD2 I used to have one very 2 weeks!! It lasted for 6 months then all of a sudden it was back to normal. Mine are usually 28-30 days though occasionally a bit shorter.

Kitty-all the best in TTC. 34-is still quite young and under that magic 35 they all seem to quote. Think of me, I'm 37 on Sat!!!! That is old!!

Good Luck Ladies x

Hi Ladies,

Can I join you??? I have 2 DS aged 3 and 1 which took us 8 ICSI attempts in total. I'd love just one more baby but really cannot justify spending any more money on treatment....

The only thing I am considering is accupuncture as I had that on my two successful ivfs (even though it is my DH's low sperm count that led us to ICSI). I think it just helped my body be more receptive...???

I too am 37 in a couple of months and so time is not on my side Sad Neva mind, I'm gonna give it my best shot and try not to get too hung up on it each month - yeah right!!!!

Good luck to us all

Hi, just a quick one for Sophia. Congratulations, thats lovely news. Gives me hope. Can i ask if you had an Amh test before you were told to use DE and if so what was the result? I'm 33 and my Amh test in Nov last year came back as 0.07 - which is undetectable and there was only 2 follies on my Afc scan! I really can't see me getting a natural miracle!

Wow fantastic news Sophia good luck for a healthy pregnancy.

I too am 37 this year and we have said will give it 18 m then probably call it a day, it's added presure though.

Bubbles I bet your boys keep you busy, my hubby had a low count but had accu and at our last icsi it was normal. It does cost a lot have you got a simply health plan? Could you ask for money for birthdays and put it towards a session? My accu says the best time is to go just before you ovulate. Maybe do a car boot and save the money you raise just for that.

Do you think if we had 1 of each sex we would feel differently?

Thats fantastic news Sophia-certainly gives me a little bit more hope!! :0)

Louise, I think even if I had one of each, I would still love another as I always wanted a bigger family and would have probably gone on to have 4 if fertility wasn't an issue.

Fingers crossed for you all that this is the month of miracles x

Hi

Can I join in please Wink We are trying for a third but my cycles are haywire and dh swimmers aren't very good. Isabella who just turned one was a natural miracle and I had a natural bfp m/c at the end of last year the month we started trying again.

We still have 8 embies in the freezer but hoping that I won't need to use them. It sounds silly but I am hoping we can get pg naturally again and then maybe use the embies for another child afew more years down the line when I am a little bit older. I am 29 but the embies are from when we were 24 and Jessica is from the same batch.

Louise I am also really worried about m/c as I have a 50% m/c rate so far but staying positive that I have two beautiful girls.

Emerald

Hiya can I join you ladies too.

I have two boys through icis. one 23 months (kyle) and one 6 months (max). To cut a long story short I was told years ago I had blocked tubes so would need IVF. On my 20 week scan with max I asked to see the doctor Iam under if he was their, lucky me he was, I asked to be looked at again, so the week before christmas I went for a xray and it showed one of my tubes open, so Iam just waiting to go back in march to see the doctor, also I have been doing ovulation strips and ovulation was showing on day 21 and iam on a 28 day cycle, so a few weeks ago I started takeing angus catus and ovulation came on day 14 this month.

Hi just want to wish you ladies all the best.

I have 2 grown up children and had 3 mc's in the last few years. I had given up hope with my own eggs due to my age and had decided donor egg would give us the best chance. I had put my name on the donor list and was just about to start the process of using a known donor when i fell preganant. I never thought I would get to the stage that I am at now.

Welcome to Bubbles, Emerald and Smallkellie. Lots of us now. Hopefully they'll be some natural miracles on here.
Wow Smallkellie, cant believe Max is 6 months and what fab news about your tube. Thanks Dippy and congratulations on your miracle, not long now Smile
Wishuponastar, i am youngish at 33 but my chances arent good with an amh of 0.07 Sad i may aswell be over 35! Ive been ttc for 7 years now and not a whiff of a bfp other than my miracle icsi boy Lewis. I'll keep trying while i wait for a donor.
Well my evil af is due anytime from Thurs Sad really hope she stays away. Im off to bed for an early night now as i'm shattered. I had myself some experience of two kids at the weekend as i had my 4 month old great nephew all weekend while my nephew and his girlfriend went away. He's a lovely baby, slept through the night, just wish my little man had slept through, lol. Gave me a taster of whats hopefully to come.
Nite girls, love Kitty x x x x

Smallkellie...Fantastic news! Congratulations! You must be over the moon...
1-2 weeks sounds about right as the digital counts from ovulation/ conception...so it seems spot on!
What a wonderful surprise! I hope everything goes really well for you!

Dippy...thank you so much for sharing your story...It is so encouraging that despite age and a succession of mc's you were able to have a healthy pregnancy...
I am in a similar position..having suffered quite a few mc's and being of a 'certain age'.....

Laughing
I wish you all the best with the rest of your pregnancy...and that you have an easy labour!

Kitty...I am not sure about my AMH..I had it done a few years back and it wasn't too bad then ...But again, it's one of those fancy new tests, that can scare the hell out of you if taken out of context..I think someone young like yourself with a low AMH still has got a much better chance than someone like me in my 40's with a relatively okay AMH...and yet I achieved quite a few pregnancies over the last few years, which sadly ended in mc..but that;s due to the quality rather than diminished egg reserves...

The AMH gives you an idea about the quantity of egg left...it says nothing about the quality!
You don't need thousands of eggs...just 1 good one!
So don't read too much into this...having been on various boards over the years I have seen many women in their thirties with extremely low AMH get pregnant, because the quakity of their eggs is still good.!
You've got every chance..as long as you catch that one good egg!

I wish you all the luck in the world..

Happy trying to everyone else

Sophia xx

Wow! Some natural miricles already! Lets hope the good luck spreads....

Smallkellie - were you actually 'trying' or was it a surprise? Are you on any supplements?

Loui5e - Your boys look very similar to mine Smile If you don't mind me asking, was your hubby's count very low? My hubbys is very low and not the best quality, I kinda feel I'm waiting for a miricle that is never going to happen Sad Did you both go for accu? If so how often? The lady I saw was fab and I loved going, but it was £40 a session.... if we both went weekly thats going to cost us loads!!!

I know people would shoot me for admitting this on such a forum, but I do think if I had one of each perhaps I would feel differently.... I would love a little girl, I just feel a little 'incomplete'... does that make sense??? I know there are no certainties in this game and I'm very fortunate for my 2 beautiful boys but I want to try one more time and see!

Congrats Sophia, that really does give me hope Smile

My friend had a baby last night and so I feel a little blue today. Really pleased for her obviously but you know that little feeling you get..... Trying really hard not to focus on ttc but as each month passes I get a little more down. Arghhhhh!!!!

Oh well, better go as the little men are calling Smile

Good luck to all of you xxxx

Fantastic news smallkellie sounds spot on to me but I can understand why you are worried, an early scan will reassure you.

Bubbles you have hit the nail on the head that's why I said that, we always wanted a large family but I think if I had one of each I may have thrown in the towel after the last mc. I would love a daughter but equally would love 3 boys just feel I need to try so I have no regrets. My hubby's count was about 2 million he only went for a couple of months after out first m/c. My lady charges £30 I go every week but I'm going to cut it to every other.

A friend told me she was pg yesterday and didn't want to be etc now 12w and getting used to it, I was upset today but got to get on with it.

Let's hope we can all have our natural miracles in the coming months x

Congratulations Smallkellie.

When I was trying I did take Maca powder, only took it for a month as tasted awful but fell pregnat the following month. I had also given up trying so it maybe that I just relaxed a little. I also took aspirin untill I was 36 wks pg and progesterone untill 12 wks.
