Sorry if I have barged in without realising... I didn't know what FET stood for as our embryo's didn't suit freezing bless them.

Thanks Josie, although I guess I only meant tell us about yourself in a general sort of way! Your story sounds so similiar to lot of ours, and I am so sorry about your angel too. Hopefully they will be able to better stimluate your egg production this time, to get a few more. they do seem to learn something every time you do it. You can stay with us if you want to, I think there are a couple of others on a fresh cycle. Best of luck (and snap on the 2 kitties!)

Hi Ladies, hope we are all ok.
Pattym this is my 1st go at IVF and i havnt told any one just very close family and my best friend who has just told me she is also pregnant with her 2nd baby. I know what you mean about being isolated as im the only one out of all my friends not to have any kids. I havnt told work i saved 3 weeeks of my holiday coz i didnt really want to tell anyone but everyone is diffent.
Josie your welcome to join im not doing FET and all the ladies are lovely on here if you ever need to talk.
Tigger hope you are feeeling better hun and things are ok with DH.
Sarah keep it up girl with the diet your doing so well
Its my birthday tomorrow so hope my AF arrivers for my birthday present then i can start my scans!

Hi All,
Same here all friends and family got kids i'm the only 1 that has not and we have not told everyone only close people. Told my boss about IVF well had too his my DH lol.
Lisa~ How are your injections going any side affects with you?
Injections going ok with me they sting sometimes, i keep getting headaches and a fuzzy head not good. I have my first scan on monday and if that is ok then i can start the 2nd injecction (yeah 2)

Just wanted to say it looks like I won't be cycling with you after all. Moving house is just going to get in the way to much, and I can't risk wasting my frosties. Going to delay by at least a month, maybe 2.

Thanks for being so kind.
i'm glad to hear i'm not alone then, not sure if you feel like this, but it's one thing going through the worry of all of this, but then also rubbish as i just want to get away from it all and have fun, but all of my friends are preoccupied with babies and i find that it's the last thing that i want to talk about. i've been trying to get away as much as possible and been using my holidays up.
i won't have any annual leave left for treatment, so i'm either going to say i've got the flu or if i feel brave then i will tell my boss.
Happy birthday lisa - i hope things move on swiftly for you.
Hope everyone else is doing well i look forward to getting to know everyone. |

Hello gang
Blizzard conditions here so I've left my DH on the slopes and I'm all cosy & warm and have nabbed his iPad to do an update on here!
I've been quickly reading on my phone most days but have typed 2 replies on my phone which have then not posted so figured this was a better option?!
lala - boo to side effects of injections! I never had to do those first ones last time but am mega empathetic as they sound 'orrible! I think you said scan coming up on Monday! Then what happens then? Do you start the next (?stimming?) injections? I hope that all goes well. Fingers crossed you get the go ahead then for moving on to the next stage.
Lisa - belated bday chick! I hope you managed to celebrate a bit even if in a quiet and not too merry manner! How are your injections going? When do you think you will move to the next stage? Can't remember if you are doing fresh or frozen cycle?
Jaybee now in the 2ww with one little embie defrosted - jay - not sure if you are still reading this but hope things going ok? Are you going insane yet in the 2ww or managing alright? Thinking of you!
Sarah - I totally understand your decision to delay your frosties for now - you sound like you have such a lot going on with work & life with jobs, moving house etc. whilst some distractions are good I agree trying to do ivf and move jobs and house would push me over the edge! You don't want to regret defrosting your embies if you are not in the 'right place' to optimise your success. Fingers crossed you find a fab new house for you and your DH and your future baby!!
Tig - what you up to then? Things going ok? Hope you ahev managed to move on with dh and focus on the positives and the future. Xxx Any closer ideas when you will be moving forwards with your cycle? Which cons are you under at notts? I think Simon Thornton has taken us under his wing now which I'm happy with bearing in mind he helped make the first ever ICSI baby!
Mel - any news n your thyroid? Is it playing ball so you can get started? Fingers crossed for you babe.
Sue - wher are you up to with preparations for defrosting your embie? Think you said late feb for transfer? Hope things at school with the children going well. You looking forward to half term already?!
Josie - doesn't matter one bit that you're doing a fresh cycle. Hope the process doesn't seem too daunting for you? Just keep focusing on one step at a time...
Pattym - hope you are doing ok too. I know how you feel about telling people about your treatment etc. in the end I told quite a few people - all my best buddies knew we'd been trying for a few years (not too hard to work out really when not drinking on hend do's, weddings etc!). I must say having the support from my best friends was great - I'm a positive vibes person so needed to know that everyone was rooting for us! and I needed to tell work as I had to take time off without a sick note (they wouldn't have accepted one) so that was tricky with everyone knowing especially when I went back with a positive result by had a mc a few weeks later. I think just tell who you are comfortable with. My folks know but not my grandma as I'm sure ladies of her generation would not really understand the whole thing!
I'm the last of all my bessies to have a family - in the last 6 months the have been 6 new babies and whilst they have been pre-occupied with them it's also been nice to get some practice in and gets some tips on being a mummy for when our turn comes! (note the positive vibes?!) it's also been a reminder that it's blooming hard work being parents and althought that is the ultimate goal it does make you thankful of the lie-ins in the meantime!
I'm not sure if I've missed anyone else out - sorry if I have!
Soon we'll all be moving on to the next step - exciting times!
Lots of love from a snowy Austria - home tomorrow night and back to reality  I've been eating a 4 course brekkie and dinner every day - goodness only knows what the scales will say when I get back but this hol certainly has done the relaxation side of my brain wonders! Even if all my trousers slightly too tight!!

Hi everyone,
Sorry I havent been around recently. I've had a pretty crazy week at work and thanks to af/endo I've been completely shattered.
Anyways, af eventually turned up and I start dr injections on 3rd Feb It still amazes me that we actually look forward to injections!?! DH & I are doing ok now thanks. We have a lot going on at the moment with both our work lives so thats a good distraction but also an extra strain with the stress of it all! We've had a lovely weekend together though which has really helped.
Welcome to all the newbies. Please feel free to join us whether you are doing FET, Fresh, an INF newbie or an old pro, everyone is welcome We are all there for each other no matter what stage of your journey you are at.
Will try and do an updated list if I get chance later. Need to go and get dressed now (got to be some perks of no kids right!?) and take my big girl Skye (3rd old Weimaraner for those who dont know me yet!) out for a walk!

Hey everyone, my birthday was ok thanks just went for a nice meal with DB and some friends but no drinking for me
Lala injections are going ok not really got any side affects like headaches or a fuzzy head but the other day i was getting upset for no reason. My AF is still not here been on the DR injections for 2 weeks on tue so it better hurry up . Good luck for your scan tomorrow hun everything will be fine. Let us know how you get on.
Jep mine is a fresh cycle just waiting for my AF so i can start the next injection/scans. Sounds like you had a lovely holiday and you can eat what you want when you on your holidays. 
Sarah good luck moving hun and for when you do start your cycle. I will look out for you.

Hi All,
Weekend has gone too quick again, Jep yeah scan is tomorrow and if all looks good then its the next injection which i think is the stimming one. Dont know how long i will be on that one think everyone is different.
Lisa~ Glad you had good birthday, good you aint got any side affects. I found when my AF did show up that is when i was more tearful not too bad now just fuzzy head lol.
Tigger~ when you say add your details i dont know what to put and where to put it?

| Hey Lala, if you copy the full list of everyones details about their current cycle (in my last post) and paste it into a reply. Then just add/update your own line where necessary. It gets very confusing and gets really hard to follow everyone when all the scans etc start so it just helps keep track of where everyone is in their cycle! xx |

Hiya all,sorry Ive been AWOL but been writing on a couple of the other pages and kinda got lost where I had posted! Me dim!!
Hope everyone is well and all is going to plan.
Im in the 2ww,arghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! This is day 7 of a day two 5 cell and its draggin like mad!!! Lots of things going on,dizzyness, feeling sick,boobies like melons!! headaches to name but a few but as im still on the prognova and pesseries I think they are all side effects. Dont test until feb 1st which is forever away! |

Hi All
Good luck jaybee fingers toes and everything crossed for you.
Had my scan on monday did not go as planned, they found what they thought was either a cyst or a follicle with an egg in it or something like that on one of my ovaries. Had to have a blood test then wait till the afternoon for nurse to call back which when she did was told it was a cyst and to start my stimming injection on wednesday. I was worried as i have read something on here to say wait until the cyst goes then start ivf. I did call my nurse today to say this as this could be my only chance and dont want to jeopardise it. She sed she will double check with nottingham again but it is only a small one and they sed it would be ok, still waiting for her to call.

Lala i have a cyst they seen it on my first scan told me to go back to have a second scan a week later to see if it had gone but it hadnt and they still went ahead with my cycle and im doing egg share. I have got to go for a scan because i still havent had my AF been on the DR for 2 weeks now . Everything will be fine if they went ahead with my cyst im sure they will with you. Why did they say it is your last chance?

I have been reading a few stories on here about cyst, no they did not say it is my last chance. I am NHS funded and nearly 39 so maybe time running out and also the cost. |

Morning everyone hope you are all well, I can't sleep got my intralipid at 1pm this afternoon and last time I had 1 they couldn't get the canular in my arm hope today's goes better.
Jaybee hope your 2ww isn't dragging too much you at work or at home?

Hello everybody!
Hope you are all ok and ticking along nicely!
Sorry I've not contributed to this thread much so far but I'm at the boring stage of waiting for my day 21 scan and hopefully then be able to start my tablets. I'm not very excited yet, in fact I feel a bit down about it all. I think I am worried the egg wont defrost, then worried if it does it wont stick, and if it does worried I will M/C again. I need to try and gat in a more positive frame of mind! I'm hoping that once I start the tablets etc I will start to get excited and more positive!!
Hello JEP- I'm plodding along at school, really busy, got the dreaded ofsted hanging over us. Weve been waiting for 'the call' since September. I wish they had come then it would be over and one less stress to think about. Anyway- 2.5 weeks to go then a week off so counting down the days.
Lisa- Glad you had a good birthday, sounds similar to how mine will be in February, low key and no alcohol!
La La- i wouldnt worry too much about the cyst, I have them on and off (they pop and go on their own) aswell as horrendous endo on my ovaries and I got pregnant on my last cycle with DE.
Jaybee- I think you must be the first on the thread to reach the 2WW. Try to chill but keep busy. Ive got everything crossed for you. xxxxxx
Right I'd better go and do some work- I'm supposed to be doing my planning for next week!
