HI ya,

I dont get a second scan through Care , I am now waiting for the 12 week scan so a few weeks off now!! my scan on 30 / 12 showed i was 8+3 with EDD of 08/08/2011 and both measured 22mm . Midwife appt is booked for 20th Jan

Hi all. Had my first scan yesterday which showed one perfect HB. Measuring spot on for 7+4 12.8 mm and EDD 19.08.11.

How do you calculate how many weeks pregnant you are?

Care Leicester said with normal woman wo IVF from last Period but with us SPECIAL ones I do not know???? And in all posts are confusing answers and many of them, anybody nows for sure?

Hi Pupsi,

To work out how many weeks pregnant you are you just add 2 weeks onto the length of time since you had EC. So if you had EC 4 weeks ago you would be 6 weeks pregnant. There are also several websites that can calculate your edd, just do a google search for IVF pregnancy calculator. My due date is 3rd Sept...that's ages away!!!

I wish my scan date would hurry up!!!

Then I'm six weeks tomorrow how cool. Halfterm for the big 12 weeks.

I did a calculator and that one said due day 04/09 may be we get our babies together.

Still feel so sick puhuhuuuu even eating make sit not better ;-(

Finally got my scan date today!! A week tomorrow -13/1/11! I am very excited but also very scared too. I'll only be 6 +4 so I have to accept I may not see a hb. I kind of wish it was the following week as I originally thought it would be. Oh well! At least I only have a week to wait. I am currently 5 +3 with my edd 5th September.

Does anyone know if Northampton/ MK does one or 2 scans?

Pupsi - sorry you're still poorly. Are you doing anything to try and combat it? I find I feel sick around 8am as I usually have breakfast once I get to school. I have bought some richtea so I can nibble one or two before I get up.

EBS - our due dates are so close!

Button - that is fantastic news! Is your next appointment with the midwife?

CAJ - your scan won't be too far off - 3 weeks? Have you asked your doc to send one for you? I will see my mw just after 7 weeks so she will send off for mine. 20th Jan may be a little late for you. x

KP - there will be a lot of us having scans next week, very exciting! How far along will you be? Will you get one scan or two?

Mystique - how far along will you be at your scan? How are you feeling?

Great news on the scans Carla and Button.

I hit the 12 week milestone today.... woo hoo!! Can't wait to my NT/dating scan on the 17th so we can start telling everyone.

Kate I only got one scan at Care Northampton at 7+5 weeks. Not sure if it's the same for everyone or if people e.g. on immune cycles.

Good morning

This waiting game makes me dulali in my head, first you wait for your Period to start so you can start with your Protokol, then you wait tthat the folikels are enough and ok, then egg collection, then is it good enough embryos, then 2 weeks waiting if attached, then waiting for OTD, then scan then 12 weeks, then dating scan, then down syndrom etc, then birth, then then then

ahhhhhhhhh I feel horible today, I have very low blood preasure and feel sick as in my pregnancy book (I'm only allowed one) state this should be a good sign....OK OK OK but I feel HORROR

Anybody else out there the same?

On Monday I will be 6 weeks and 3 days. Smile

I had a scan at the early preg unit at my local hospital at 5 weeks as I had a few spots and it scared me. Everything was ok at this stage they say a little sack.

I woke up at 3am feeling very sick after last nights tea and then had to go and throw up, is this morning sickness or a bug?? worried about picking something up like a sickness bug! especially whilst on these steroids. :S

Also not sure if i will get more than one scan with care, maybe as i think 6 weeks is a pretty early scan? maybe i will get another about 8-9 weeks?? Hope so Very Happy

Hi ladies!
KP - I was NHS funded and they actually asked me (november 2010) if I want 1 or 2 put back and didnt say that only 1 was allowed, but advised to put 1 back, cos 8 cells and grade 1 so chances were very good.
Carla - congratulations! My EDD is 8/8/2011 as well!
Cant wait for my appointment with GP tomorrow!

KP - re number of scans with CARE - if everything will be OK and they will clearly see HB and nothing to worry about, you will be discharged the same day, I had to have 2nd scan cos had quite big blood clot next to the little embie, so they wanted to make sure it will absorb itself or at least wont grow, although they did see HB, so during my 2nd scan - blood clot almost gone and embie growing fine (thanks God!) so I have been discharged then.

Hi,
I will be 7w +2d on scan day 12/1. Because mine was a FET, I'm basing this on embryo being 2d old on transfer day 7/12 + 2 weeks (when AF or EC would have been).
Think that's the right way to calculate it!? Expect Care will confirm next week.

Also, by the way, I have been discharged by CARE before I've even had my scan .. is everyone treated the same or is there just no set way of doing things do you think?

Hi all,

Hope everyone is ok. I had NHS funded cycle and we were told we were only allowed to transfer 1 embryo - there was no option to transfer 2. I thought that was a fixed rule for anyone under 40.

I am coming off the pessaries this weekend... hooray!!.. another milestone.

So glad it's Friday. Found it tough at work this week after all the lazing around over Christmas.
