Sorry to hear Lala's news..it's all so unfair!
Thanks for the reassurance Wendy, i was in floods this morning thinking it was all over but pulled myself together when i realised it wasn't fresh blood. I daren't let myself believe it was implantation bleed a few days ago, i am trying to stop daydreaming about a positive result incase i come back to Earth with a crash!
Dianond, i was told that even though the embryo was a slow grower, it might get a kick up the arse being put into its rightful home...let's hope this is the case! Afterall, i guess they wouldn't bother doing the transfer if there was zero hope. Also, the nurse told me the pessaries cause you to get period pains as i moaned to her my back was killing and thats a sure fire sign for me that it's going to arrive!
I am sooo tempted to rush out and buy a test but i know this is a bad idea!
Anyway i'm enjoying the positive vibes from this board, as a natural born pessamist lord knows i need them!

Oh Lala I'm so sorry to hear your news, sending big hugs and hope that this isn't the end of the road for you and your back trying again soon
Alliwant- it was me with the frozen embie, we spoke on my other thread. great news you have and embie for transfer, good luck with the thaw , tomorrow, hopefully you will have 2 to put back in in the morning, keep me posted
Only a few more days for me now, I really cant wait. I go from convinced its worked and rubbing my tummy and smiling, to convinced it totally hasn't and feeling really low ( no tears yet through) loads of symptoms, my boobs are sore ( was with my bfn last time but this time it's lasted longer and more painful) and Constant indigestion/nausea, very tired and a little dizzy - here's hoping
Hello everyone else - keep positive

Hi alliwant
Yes just the one and no it lost some cells. It had 8 cells to start with and went down to 5 cells once thawed. They say anything that has 50%remaining is viable to achieve a pregnancy but they didn't give me %of success. But I didnt ask
Test date is Monday but my husband will be at work and I'm off (don't work Monday's) so may test on Sunday so we can be together whatever the result

Big hugs Lala, my thoughts are with you x
Poppy, yeah you are right, they wouldn't have done the transfer if there was no hope so here's hoping they got the kick up the arse they needed! Wendy is right too, the brown blood will be old blood and it may be a good sign that its implantation bleeding.
Wendy, over a week down, but its felt like a lot lot longer!
My tummy pains are getting worse, so just hope AF isnt around the corner...get the same thing with back ache as well as a sign so just hope its the pessaries. Am not sleeping well at all, but think its due to the steroids that I am on. Is anyone else on these and finding the same thing?
Cookiedough - your symptoms sound promising
Have a good evening everyone x |

Hi all new ladies. Welcome, I'm looking forward to some ladies joining with OTD dates beyond 7th March so I'm not the last person standing on the thread !!!
Cookiedough, I'm with you as the thread grows might be an idea to revert to the first post list. Wendy our initial list queen can you do the honours?
Wendy, I owe you a reply from couple of days ago. I had 4 embies on Tuesday and elected with consultant / embryologist to put the 3 strongest back. Care weren't able to freeze the remaining embie that day, I didn't really understand why and wish i'd asked more questions but there was lots to take in at the ET appointment. So they couldn't freeze on Tues & didn't think embie would be suitable for freezing later in the week. Would that be capacity at Care or do embies have to be so many days / developed to be frozen ???? |

Lala - absolutely gutted for you chick. Please take some time with your DH to look after both of you & your emotions. Keep in touch on our original thread & ask any qns you may come up with. Loads of love xxx
Re- freezing embies. We too had similar unanswered qns last yr they only froze 2 blasts but there were about 5 left. In hindsight I have learnt they will only freeze really good embies as they don't want to put us through the preparation for a cycle if it doesn't defrost & is a waste of time. I have accepted this rationale now and still have 1 frozen if we get a bfn this time
Sorry not more personals as on my phone & v difficult to do!!
TFI friday guys!! Another day closer to otd

Thanks JEP, that makes sense as it was the weakest remaining embie .... it was the comment that we can't freeze today that kept playing back in my mind.
Have a great weekend x |

Hi ladies, work has been mad (which hasn't been easy in meetings with the wind! )
Kerry, great news about your BFP! I have been very tempted to test, but have a feeling it's too early.
Miss T, I had a similar thing, I had 4 embies, but on day 3, three of them hadn't divided as they should, so they wouldn't freeze them. I think they have to be a certain grade/quality for them to agree to freeze them. My embies have always been crap quality, so I've never got any to freeze. My little embie on board was grade 2/3 (what I always seem to get). Good luck. Ooh triplet! Lol.
JEP, you're right, one day closer, but each day feels like about a week at the moment!
Cookiedough, I've updated the first post and have put list here again for everyone else. I know what you mean, I've been 'feeling' today like it might have worked, but then think that I am just kidding myself. My boobs are sore too, but have been since ET, so don't think that can mean anything!
Good luck for ET tomorrow Alliwant. IVF is hard for all of us and we've all spent huge amounts of money on it, it's rubbish when you know there's no guaranteed results. My friend got diagnosed with premature ovarian failure at 34, so it's sometimes not just about age. Are you on immune drugs? I was just wondering as it sounds like it's cost you quite a bit more than I've paid, but I haven't had ICSI so I know that bumps the price up.
As for me, well am shattered. Am supposed to be working tonight, but am watching Criminal Minds instead. Oops. As I said, have had a bit of a heavy feeling in tummy/lower abdomen today, with a few twinges, so not sure if it's anything or just me over analysing everything. Probably the latter!
Right well best get on. Might give in this weekend and test... Sunday would be the equivalent of when I tested on the cycle when I got pregnant with my son, so think it's a bit of an indicator. Will be gutted if it's not positive, but we'll see.
Good luck to anyone testing this weekend.
Love to anyone I've not mentioned. It is a long list now! Phew.

Congrats Kerry Lou!! Brill news
Aygirl - you're next! You holding out til Tom to test?
Poppy & cookie - are you waiting til test day or caving in earlier ?
We plan to test on our correct date on tues. we did wait last time too but I had loads more symptoms then & felt I was preggers then. Even my tiredness has gone so trying not to be negative & let my mind wander down that road yet. Keep hoping its all because this is a fet not fresh cycle. For me I knowno bleeding is not a positive sign really as even when we had the mc stopping tabs/pessaries did not start it off. The maximum medical treatment to induce a mc didn't work either until 3 days later.
I'm finding the distraction of being away from home a good one! Lots of fresh air and the sea. Did some shopping yesterday but didn't buy any clothes for me as hoping will be quite a bit fatter in a few months!! Hoping my pma arrives back again today and comes out of where it's been hiding!!!
Love to everyone

Morning ladies well I caved in and tested today but it was negative. I thought I could see a very faint second line on one of those sensitive pee sticks but I might just be willing it to be there... Still 6 days to go so we'll see. Feel very like af is about to arrive but also have a slightly dodgy tummy so that might not help.
The rest of you are all so good at waiting!
Going to go and buy a first response test as I think they're supposed to be quite sensitive and tomorrow is equivalent of when I tested positive on cycle with my son so I think if it's negative tomorrow that might be it for me.

Wendy, every cycle is different it's no where near over. Theo might have been an early implanter test day is a certain day for a reason. Now step away from the pee sticks go and have a nice day with Theo, try to keep busy all weekend.
Easier said than done I know I'm a terrible tester.
Got everything crossed.

Congrats Kerry lou, somehow had missed your bfp
Oh Wendy, that's far to early to be testing. You need to give yourself a few more days at least. Don't worry it's not over for you yet - keep positive
I think I am going to test tomorrow which is 1 day early. Can't stand it anymore. I would have been tempted to test today if I hadn't been so desperate for a wee this morning and couldn't remember where the sticks were !!!!
Good luck tomorrow aygirl
Have a good day everyone xxx |

Hi all,
JEP sea & fresh air sounds lovely, I vaguely remember from an earlier post you were away (so many posts to back track thro now!). Are you somewhere nice? Hope you get some sunshine this weekend.
Wendy, try not to read anything into your negative ..... granted I'm a newbie but it seems very early.

So sorry to hear your news Lala. I hope you are okay. Thinking of you today.
Sorry to hear you had a negative test Wendy. Still, it's really early for you so long before your OTD. I know how you feel - I'm rubbish at waiting too. Like Louise said, every cycle is different. Hope you get a better result if you test again tomorrow.
Congrats Kerry Lou. Hope you're starting a trend for everyone else!

Hi Wendy,
I used FR on my last cycle at 12DPT and got a BFP!
Faint lines are still a BFP - congrats
Theo looks like a cheeky little monkey just like our DD.

Hey Jellyfish - congrats on getting to the 2ww! I hope it doesn't drag too much for you. I know that I go completely insane lol.
Cookiedough - good luck if you test tomorrow. Will be thinking of you. And good luck Aygirl. Hope you'll be both be joining us on the waiting for scans thread really soon! I'm retesting tomorrow too. I don't really want to because I hate pregnancy tests but that's how my clinic works. It's because they do OTD quite early - on the day your period's due - so they do a second one a week later just to make sure.
Hi to everyone else. Hope the wait's not driving you too mad!
