Your same age as me konley so know the feeling. Will be 38 in april though. God not long til 40. Eek!
You are probably having same gaps I had between cycles. But I think it would have been harder for me to have longer gaps as just always wanted to get going again.

Yes it was hard going back to work. Lots of tears!

Here's hoping won't be there long.

Hope the dr goes well xx

Me too, I am 38 in April as well Smile or should it be Sad followed by Shocked when did that happen Very Happy !!!
I can only imagine how difficult returning to work must have been. Hope they were supportive, but not to the point of suffocation? Anyway, with a bit of luck you will be out of there soon!
Better set the alarm on my moblie, since last time we nearly forgot on a couple of occassions.
Take care Konley xx

Konley - I'm so excited for you for this evening! Don't forget! Back on the rollercoaster Smile Sort of wishing I was at that stage too, but still very nervous at the same time.

Peachy - I love the idea about spring luck - fingers crossed we all get our share of it x I hope you are having a decent weekend (assuming you don't work wends) and a bit of much needed relaxing x

MrsHanes2be- Were you happy about how the app. went? Sorry you have to wait that bit longer, but it might be just what you need with all your wedding & house planning aswell. I'm (usually) a believer in 'everything happens for a reason' so maybe April is your time x

Konley & peachy - you are still in your prime!! Coming up to 40 is the new coming up to 30 isn't it! x

About 2 months ago me and DH were talking about plans for my BDay (in a couple of days) and I said we can't do that as I'm hoping to have started the cycle by then. Thought about it today, and I can't believe that we are still not there. Over 2 weeks to go until initial appt and then who knows what hoops we'll have to jump through before actually starting Crying or Very sad Do any of you have these kinds of moments? x x

Cin - time will fly before you know it. I am like you though just want to start now. Yes it does feel like we put our lives on hold for this. I can never make plans as a result.
But make sure you do something nice for bday as once you get started it will take over.

What days your birth konley - mines 3rd.

No don't work weekends. Doing few days a week to start with. I

Had a nice day feet up now but nothing on tv!
Xx

Cinnoam - Sort of excited, but had butterflies earlier at the thought of going again! I still have'nt set the alarm, I keep forgetting Very Happy Rolling Eyes . In our prime, oooh, I think I like that! Dare I ask how old you are, or is it a case of 'never ask a laydee her age'?? As for those type of moments, I think they kick in the second you get on this rollercoaster. Make sure you celebrate your birthday one way or the other, I promise you will feel better for it.

peachy - Mines the 11th! Aries, hmmmm, do you have the typical traits, or before you politely answer, do you find horoscopes a load of ol' baloney??........It's good that your work have you on a slow phase return. Saturday television is notoriously cr*p! Was'nt when we was younger Wink

Speak soon xx

I'm also home (alone!) watching rubbish TV. In fact, I'm online looking at all things fertility!!

It's no problem to ask my age Konley. I turn 32 this time, although I had to think really hard about that - do you ever do that?! I actually turned down a weekend with the girls to celebrate, as I'm struggling with all their pregnancies/ children at the mo (silly I know) But the DH is taking me out for tea - might even treat myself to an actual glass of wine (can't remember the last time I said that!!) Wink

Peachy - glad you are taking it a little easy x x x

Have a good Sunday

.....so you're a young spring chicken then Smile . Do it all the time Cinnoam, I think once you hit your thirties, it's a done deal, you have to mentally recheck your age, before saying it.
It's not silly at all, just a crying shame most of us end up being affected in that way. Tea sounds lovely, just as long as you make sure you do something to mark the occassion, after all it's YOUR day........treat yourself to that glass of wine, go on I dare ya!

Thanks peachy - Not surprised at all that you forget, and I would imagine that it could be a side effect of your experience(s). I don't want to be overly gushy peachy but you have my total respect, after all that you have been through. I'm going to be honest and say that I am never sure how much reference you want making to your past, guess I will just play it by ear and be guided by you Smile xx

completely - If I am going to feel any symptoms while DR it is usually a good few days before they start to emerge. You're definitely making the right decision hun, you'll get there in your own good time. Best of luck for when you do start xx

Cinnoam - I was pleased how the appointment went, would of loved to have started straight away, i'm one of these people who as soon as i get an idea i need to fulfil it. In reality though next month is better, a little closer to the wedding, plus OH doesn't want no more expense in December haha.

Completely - I think you know when its right for you to start and i think you've made the right decision.

Good luck to all and happy birthday to all them celebrating soon xx

Hello ladies,

I've been away all weekend. Just found a break so here we go.

Completely_new, stick around here, to understand the process if not for anything else. Helps you decide one way or the other. Good luck hun x

Peach & Konley - About horoscopes, although I don't live my life by them, I find it calming at times. I'm an Aries also (April 6!) so this morning my horoscope said this and it couldn't have been any more accurate than that!

"You are suffering from a fear that doesn't deserve your time. Some fear can be useful- especially when it inspires you to use caution and think twice before taking a risk. But this fear has no root in reality... By allowing this fear to trespass through your mind, you are actually nurturing it, and a nurtured fear is the worst kind, so give it the boot right now. There's nothing to be afraid of."

It was a bit spooky because all weekend I've been dreading the blood tests on Monday morning.

So I had my initial blood tests done this morning. 3 vials of blood within 5 seconds. I have a bit of a needle phobia. Guess what! It did not hurt at all. I was pleasantly surprised! Oh I think I said to the phlebotomist that I loved her!

So now the ball is at hubby's court. He needs to pull his finger out and get on with his tests. If he does it soon I might be on March cycle, otherwise April.

Happy birthday to all who's having their birthday soon. xx

Hey the tech head love your horoscope read! What a great push in the right direction! Great stuff to get all your tests done mak sure hubby gets his done!

I'm starting on the April cycle so my next app is on the 3rd now. I've been playing with my gorgeous nephew all day , he just fell and came to ask me to kiss his arm better.

Good Look whatever month you start. Right I'm off to buy some poultry and get on with cooking.

Mrshans- il see you on the April cycle and good luck to everyone starting next couple of weeks' do we need to one of those update posts that others have done is it too early to do an of that?

All the best xx

S xx

Hi everyone,

Quite a few decisions made in the last few days - and I agree that you feel better once a decision has been made and that it will be the right one. It's seems as though most of us now will be starting the actual cycle in April so lets still keep in touch.

Well done Techhead with the bloods- you'll feel like a pin cushion soon enough so great start x

Mrs H, glad it went well. I just can't wait to get there. It feels like time is going sooooo slowly x x

Konley - I hope things have started well. It's countdown now, yeah! x

Well, my birthday started with a bit of a weep about being another year older with still no baby Crying or Very sad But it got better - got to open my cards and presents, then out for tea and I've already had 2 pieces of BDay cake!!
Wink

Take care x

Gosh lots of activity here today........this is going to take some concentration now!

peachy - Your post brought a lump to my throat and I wish I could convey my admiration for your strength to be able to look forward. If anyone ever deserved to mope, it would be you. Your boys know they were loved while you carried and nurtured them, and that love will shine again xx

MrsHanes - Good luck for when you start on your next cycle, and hope your appointment goes well on the 2nd.

Techhead - Ooh another aries lady, feisty women springs to mind Wink Glad your blood test was'nt as traumatic as anticipated. Good luck whether you cycle this month or next.

completely - Lots of luck with your appointment on the 3rd. Hopefully you will feel better armed before embarking on this rollercoaster. Some ladies are very lucky, and don't even regard this process as too trying, since their treatment cycle is plain sailing (you could fall into this bracket) x

Cinnoam - Weeps are better out than in hun. Just looked at the time, still scope for one more slice of b'day cake Wink which leads me on to HAPPY BIRTHDAY x

AFM - I only have a one 2 day old embryo on ice, so may lack the excitement that some of you would prefer to see, that, along with it being my third attempt! However if our embryo thaws successfully, then I will be chuffed to bits. Right now this is a very real hurdle to us.

Update - Deffo not starting in March. Hubby finally booked his MERC test, which is towards the end of this month.

April is a brilliant month anyway (gives us another month to try it naturally ^^). Means I can drink on my birthday! Razz

I will still be checking up on everyone else regularly. Good luck ladies xx

Techhead - Good luck with the trying naturally for an extra month (all in a good cause eh Wink ). A little envious of you being able to drink on your birthday, hurumph! Best of luck for when you do start (unless of course, in the meantime you get your little miracle, how cool would that be??!!) x

Hi everyone!
For some reason, I went AWOL from this board for a while! Think I was thinking when I read the initial posts, that everyone was starting closer to April, so decided to start a new thread with ladies starting early March - and now I've taken the time to read through everyones news, I can see that we're all a bit spread out and at different stages and thats fine!
Sounds like such an interesting board, some doing FET, others ICSI, some on immunes, me with PGD - looking forward to getting to know you all better and sharing this mad time we're all in, promise to read posts more thoroughly from now on!
The magic day 21 is here in just 2 days time, on Thursday - I range from being overly-excited to frightened to death, in a heartbeat!
Nice to be back
xx

That would be awesome... not to mention the amount of money and hassle we'd save!!!

Well I figured, if I act like a teenager i.e, drink & have sex at inappropriate places like rabbits, I might have a shot at getting preggy Razz

It sounds like I like to drink a lot, but not any more than your average woman really... Weekends only.. couple of g&ts and occasional wine with meal. For the last year or so, I've been very good.. avoiding alcohol during the week.

I'll be sensible at my birthday but I'll def have a few drinks. I shall raise a glass to all Aries ladies who can't have one due to treatment Wink x
