Hey all,

How are we all doing from the looks of things, it's turned into a drinking free for all! Think I'm going to jump on the band and join in on all the birthday festivities even if though I'm a December baby! although some are having way more fun than others Techead Wink

Konely nearly a week in dr how's it going ? Also good luck to Tj starting dr hope your feeling more excited than nervous Hun, suppose 'you've got to be in it to win it' You'll have to get used to my cheesy lines I blame trash telly! Wink

I've had a really sick dog since Sunday night, vomiting 5xhour crying been up 3 nights till 6am monitoring, as the vets said could be life threatening, yet they didn't take him in?? Hmmm I reckon it was food poisoning (dp bought him southern fried chicken) he's a lo better now thought, any of you lovely ladies any pets that you live for?!

Have a great weekend lots love. s x

Sounds like you're practising motherhood... sleepless nights, puking, crying Razz

I've got 2 cats and they are definitely handful.. full of character the pair of them. I love them to bits.

On a different note, I'm trying to book every weekend with things to do, places to go in case I can't for a while. Doing the girls night out, meals with other friends, celebrations with step children etc. I don't know what to expect once the treatment begins. I may be well put off by most things.

I'll be still lurking the forums until my actual treatment begins, mostly to learn from other ladies and to keep up with the latest from you all but probably won't post as much, otherwise I'd be just babbling about my mundane life Razz

Good luck to all who started their treatment already. "May the Force be with you!"

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm having quite a week, but looking forward to the weekend - not that I'm doing anything exciting but don't have to go to work at least!

Konley - How are you feeling? Hope you are managing to feel relaxed, aside from any physical effects from the dring.

Speaking of drinking - I've recently been trying to cut down further on my tea intake (I'm a proper northerner!) Already changed to de-caf about a year ago but I've now discovered hot water with honey! I think I take the prize for most rock and roll!!

TJ - Great to hear from you again. I'm very excited for you. Not sure if you will have already started as I write this. All the luck in the world. Just ask if you want to know anything x

Techhead - Glad you DH has got himself moving. You can reward him now Wink

Completely new - Sorry to hear your pooch has been poorly - we have a dog who we love to bits too. He was really ill just before Christmas. He had to go to doggy hospital (I didn't even know they existed!) and we were landed with a huge, massive bill on Christmas eve!
Crying or Very sad He seems ok again now but I was really worried for a while. Hope yours is feeling a bit better. Maybe lay off the fast food for a while!! Laughing

Mrs Hanes - How are you? Check in if you can x

Enjoy your weekends all x x x

Hey all

Sorry not been around much, i work long days and just done my 4 day stint, so thats me for the weekend now. I've got a hen doo next weekend then after that, i'm off the alcohol again, not really drunk since christmas.

Cinnoam - Cutting out the caffeine is going to be the hardest part for me, it's what gets me through the day without it i just suffer from headaches, oh well guess i better get loking for a better drink.

Completely - I'm a december baby too, where is it your having treatment? Hope our doggy is feeling better now.

Techhead - Gad things are moving along for you now, men eh!

Konley - Hope your little frosty thaws out nicely for you!

Other half is on a stag doo this weekend so looking forward to a little chill time, but think that will include painting the fence outdoors, oh the joys, least hopefully next month i'll have an excuse not to do all the boring jobs and can sit on the sidelines and give orders, thats my best feature haha.

Have fun ladies, and good luck to all who's started. xx

Hi Leepoh, welcome! Hope your next cycle is the successful one as we all do x
New to ivf - sorry your pooch has been so poorly, I have a Retriever, he's 8 now and bought him as a little pup, it was just me and him until I met my hubby 6 years ago and hes very special - and perfect training ground for children, in learning patience, guilt and worrying as much as anything else!!
Last night was the big one for me, day 21 and did my 1st DR injection last night for cycle 2 - thanks to those of you who mentioned it - couldn't believe last cycle was only 4 months ago but it still took me about 3 minutes to put the needle in! Sure will be much quicker tonight.
Anyone got any nice weekend plans? Friends and pampering for me so very happy!
xx

Hi All

completely - DR is a bit of a trial for me this time. For some reason I keep tensing, which obviously does'nt help with the administration of the buserelin. It's a mind over matter thing, so I really need to get on top of it.
Glad to hear that your doggie is better. I'm a chronic animal lover. We have two cats, did have a third but she was elderly, and passed away a couple of years ago Crying or Very sad . Grew up with dogs, but because of the hours that DH and I work, we both knew it would'nt be fair to have dogs, hence our gorgeous cats instead.
Post a pic completely I would love to see, I don't think it's sad at all, although I did say I was a mad animal lover, so may not be best person to comment!!

Techhead - Yay another cat lady! I often say to my DH if it was'nt for him I would fit the stereotype a treat. Well once our LO's are here, we'll be even further away from that stereotype, won't we??!!..........MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU TOO Laughing

Cinnoam - Not working at the weekend is a treat in itself - ENJOY! No side effects as yet, had a bit of a hot sweat earlier, but that may be because I was up and down the stairs like a yo-yo (filling the bath with hot water, our boiler has packed up and can't be fixed until Monday, oh what joy, NOT), so can't be 100% that it was DR related, hee hee Rolling Eyes

MrsHanes - Thankyou, here's hoping our little frostie behaves! Have fun giving out your orders next month, it's a favourite past time of mine too Smile

leepooh - WELCOME hun, I posted on your other thread before checking here. Glad to find you already here. I've read about lots of ladies striking gold on their last attempt, lets hope you fit this profile.

TJ - You're off, whoop, whoop. Hope this evening your build up time is reduced to 2mins at least!

peachy - Hope you are okay?

AFM - Just waiting for AF to turn up, should be Sunday onwards, realistically I think it will be the middle of next week. Then onto the next stage, eeek xxx

Hi girls,

Great going to those of you who have started - from a selfish point of view it's good to hear as it makes our journey that bit closer and more real. And of course I'm chuffed to bits for you too! Laughing

It looks like we are mostly animal people. Completly, we have a white Husky, probably very similar to yours as people ask us all the time if he is an Akita. They are big aren't they!! And fluffy!! My poor hoover works harder than me!!

Leepooh - we are now starting our third cycle and consider this to be our last chance too. My DH is changing jobs soon, so funds will be a major stumbling block which we can't get around. It does come with mixed feelings doesn't it. I'm trying not to think about what happens next tbh - I'm focussing on a pma this time around Smile

TJ - My tip is to distract yourself from the injection by watching tv, focus on a conversation or something similar just as the needle goes in - works for me x

Have good weekends all x x x

Cinnoam - I did'nt realise this will be your last chance too, so here's to happy endings, for you, and leepooh especially, and of course all the other ladies here on this thread!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend?? xx

Hello!

Sorry not been on much this week. Have found being back at work so exhausting and it has taken it out of me.

Been trying to read and catch up with you all.

Hope dr going ok konley. Can understand your apprehension re the 1 embie.

For those whose last go it is I have everything crossed. Spring is such a great time to cycle. I take each cycle on its own and feel I will know when enough is enough. But having been pregnant just cant give up yet. Fortunately I dont have to worry about the finance side of things yet. So I really sympathise with you if its a worry.

What lovley weather today. xx

peachy - I'm not surprised you are pooped, touch base when you can hun. Extremely apprehensive about our little frostie, but we made our decision, so no backing out now.

leepooh - It's only natural hun, and like peachy said earlier, perhaps try to approach this cycle in it's own right. It's horrid when it goes wrong, but there is no reason why it can't work again. Sending you a boost of PMA.

leepooh - I was going to say exactly the same yesterday, but did'nt want to risk being insensitive about your m/c. Your views mirror how DH and I are looking at this cycle (pending our frostie thawing). Here's hoping it's true for both of us x
