Im sure belgium will be in touch soon I know what you mean it becoming the focus of everything this ivf business takes over your life!!!! If you haven't heard anything by Friday ring them. I'm sure they won't mind!!!!
I have had my new protocol from care arrive today seems to be alot of drugs on it this time lol it feels like time has stopped had to go in local chemist to buy some more vitabotics trying to conceive crap they were 3 for two so when I bought six boxes the woman behind the counter just gave me the pity look!!!! and a long quiet sigh she served me a few months ago when i aslo bought shit loads!!!! there was a preggers lady behind me in the que too who was smiling I didn't smile back just put my head down and headed to the door quickly the joys!!!!! She obviously didn't have ivf or she would of realised no one buys six boxes!!!!
Oh well our wine delivery turned up today feels like more than 12 weeks ago that the las one was delivered had a bery healthy wine rack while i have been on the wagon lol but may treat myself to a small glass while DH out tonight he's gone to a beer festival in town with the lads so I'm looking forward to an early nite with no baby making practice lol

lol, i like how you say "belgium will be in touch" as if it's a national emergency over there to get me pregnant
I've had a glass tonight too, it went down well. Hubby had half a bottle of southern comfort only to declare that he doesn't like it anymore... I'll be surprised if he's managed to find his way to his his bed the state he was in
New carpets tomorrow
The bed is a dark wood four poster so they are few and far between and we'd have to wait for delivery again so we'll just see how it goes. The one they are sending is selling for £1000 more than the one we originally bought so if not i can get rid of it on Ebay and maybe still make a profit and buy a different one lol |

Hiya Maple,
Aww thanks a lot for that! You are definitely right, better in my pocket than theirs
I've just asked for a copy of my medical files and they want £30 plus 20 working days *after* i send them back a consent form :/ I've a good mind to go in and borrow my file for 30 mins and take it to a local print shop |

Bloomin 'eck ... 20 working days ... I think someone can hand copy (i.e. write out) everything in your file by then ... I did warn you that it's low on their priorities.
What annoys me most was that you have paid for everything in your files ... the notes are rightfully yours and you should be giving them a copy to keep!!!
A copy of my notes took a 2-3 weeks, and I remember having to chase them a couple of times for them (and made a bit of a nuisance of myself).
In your case, as you have to wait for the Sperm DNA Fragmentation (2 weeks) and Sperm Aneuploidy results to come back (4 weeks) anyway, it may not be as urgent (I presume that you would want to send the sperm test results as well as your treatment notes off to the Belgium clinic)? Will your review appointment with your current clinic be after the the results come back?
Hope your clinic hands over your dosh willingly and quickly!

I'm good at making a nuisance of myself
Yeah, there isn't a rush for the copy of my notes yet like you said because my CARE review isn't until the 16th April but i have no clue at all about when my Belium appointment will be at the moment.
I think i might tell them that i already have an appointment at another clinic and need them asap and will just have to take the original with me if they don't sort me a copy in time
You know how England > English? What is the Belgium version? |

The... Queen?!
You make sure to tell her how unhappy we are with Belgium at the moment with communication issues. We may have to invade if it doesn't improve soon.
Ah, the good old days where the queen was the ruler of the universe - not these bloody politicians. That is of course based on the assumption that i would be a lady and not a peasant...
The carpet has gone ok. All was fine until they finished and we realise that one of them smelt so badly that we had to open the windows to try and get some fresh air in and also that the door wouldn't move even though it says in the leaflet that they take length of doors if necessary! Hubby has done it instead which is a trial in itself because he expect a parade in his honour everytime he does any DIY lol
I think i'm going to take us out for dinner |

No gutted didn't get chance to discuss the invasion lol although sounds like we don't need to invade now you have heard from the belgians!!!! how exciting I hope you are going for the one on the 20th of march!!!! I am so inpatient i would be booking the eurostar tonight!!!! The Eurostar is excellent only an hour from London to Belgium!!! Where in belgium is the clinic??? Will they let you start sooner than care would ie not have to wait 3 AF's??? Oh very excited for you I would let DH have one eve off talking about it but only one!!! My DH is also sick of me talking about IT as he calls it sometimes they just dont understand what we have to go through!!! I have got the outlaws coming to stay for the weekend god help me!!! I know the mother in law will be going on and on about the ivf not in the way I want to talk about it wish me luck!!!if you hear daughter in law loses the plot and murders mother in law from hell on east midlands today you will know who it is lol

I'm sure i was told two bleeds before starting next but to be honest i don't feel like there is much rush anymore. It's like if this next thing doesn't work, we're well and truely fucked. Nothing else i know of to try...
The clinic is in Ghent i think. I'm not sure i like the Eurostar - going under a huge tunnel sounds more scary than going via ferry lol
Eek, the inlaws for the whole weekend? I don't even let my own mother stay overnight lol In fact i think i'd prefer the inlaws! lol
I need to start phoning around and seeing if i can find a babysitter for the dogs for the night xx |

Sorry I only popped in and then disappeared again. Partly due to the rush with the move (only 12 days to go before we're in [fingers crossed]!!!) and partly because I've been down with a godawful cold that has had me producing copious amounts of nasty green gunge and coughing my lungs up everytime I'm about to drop off to sleep. I've had to resort to the medicinal attributes of bourbon to get any sleep at all!
So gutted about your bed, Lousie, I remember how happy you were when you said you'd ordered it! How could it possibly take them 3 months to realise they didn't have any left? Humpfh!
As for Belgium, I'm glad I've not been called to arms, lol! Although I think between you and Lingey they woulnd't have stood a chance anyways *giggle* Is 20th too soon then, because that would be great, right?! Is DH ready to talk about it yet?
Lingey, I hope you survived The Visit!!
Lou; I have 2 cats, Thor and Freyja. They are sisters (names were chosen when we were told Thor was a boy, but a later inspection proved otherwise, but we liked the name by then) and are nearly 2 years old. Thor is almost entirely ginger, just with 2 tiny little white spots on her neck and near her lady parts It's quite rare to get ginger females, so everyone always assumes she's a he (and the name doesn't help, to be fair). Freyja is a bit of everything, tabby, tortoise shell, black, white, ginger. Gorgeous. Thor is cute and cuddly, but possibly a little bit dim, while Freyja is clever and fussy and demanding! We love them to pieces, and they get far too much fuss, but that's what happens when the IVF keeps failing! Pity you can't have one, as cats are just wonderful
Well, DH is doing the ironing so I suppose I ought to go and make a start on dinner.
Hope everyone has managed to have a good weekend. |

And relax they have gone and no blood spilt lol Hope you are all having a good weekend! A better one than mine isn't hard lol
We have had a lovely couple view our house this afternoon they seemed to like it so we will see!!! we haven't found anything we like yet so I hope no one snaps it up too quickly!!! Feel like all I have done is clean all day wouldn't mind but we do have a cleaner who only came on Thursday so how can it of got so friggin dirty lol
Good to have you back Sarah glad your feeling better the bourbon will defo take the edge of it lol They should have it on prescription!!! I have just poured myself a glass of pineapple juice and just thought it would taste better with a Malibu in it omg showing my age lol do they still sell Malibu??? I'm sure my local coop doesn't or I would be in there like a shot!!! Only 12 days eek hope your packing is going well!!! Good luck your cats sound adorable I would love a cat especially a ginger one I love them but unfortunately I'm allergic to them and my dog loves cats far too much in chasing way lol
Louise have you managed to talk DH round yet? ,my DH always loses badly in negotiations bless him I can only push him so far though sometimes but I always like to push my luck lol
Taking some annual leave this week as they will only let me carry five days over and had planned on being on my two week wait so may spend some time gardening or maybe shopping and lunch with my friends who are lucky enough to work partime or not at all lucky sods!!!!

Hiya
Sorry been AWOL, just going through a bit of a slump. I can't be bothered doing anything!
I've been spending my time spending lots of money on stuff for the house, preordered a new iPad, fiddling with electrics and subsequently breaking them :/
I've also ordered stuff for a home gym. I was hoping they'd motivate me but the sense of dread when they arrived that they would never get used was HUGE...
Got my period with lots of disgusting clots that don't normally happen and that's about it
Oh, decided to go with the 24th April for Belgium so just need to find a dog sitter and ook the ferry!
Sarah - i hope that you are feeling better by now? Hope everything is going as planned with the move I want a ginger kitty :'(
The 20th would have been alright for me, but hubby is just still recoiling from the last one and needs some rnr. It's hard because he is pretty disciplined when we have a cycle upcoming and then afterwards he just wants to let his hair down and eat some sugar and have a few beers and drink some caffeine which he is doing, but then he worries that his soerm are going to be crap for the next 3 months so he is reluctant to get back into having sperm tests and things.
Lingey - i'm glad it went alright with the inlaws Where are you moving to? Why are you moving?
Hope you're alright xx |

Hiya Lingey, sorry i've been AWOL. Just really keeping my distance from all things IVF until it kicks off again in April
A bit like your husband by the sounds of it lol!
Just make sure that you are being realistic with the house price if a lot of people are going lower than you expect. I know a guy whose house has been for sale for nearly 2 years now because he is refusing to accept that house prices have really slumped :/
I really enjoyed looking at houses but i don't half put my foot in it. One time i went in and asked why they were selling and they told me that they were getting divorced due to adultery (lol) and another time i commented on a photo of some indentical twins from decades ago and the old man selling the house said that one of them had died as a child and started crying (oops) xx |

Lol that has made me laugh I usually put my foot in it big time too lol the couple we showed round put in another offer which after a bit of negotiation we accepted but the cheeky monkeys had put in another offer on another house and have withdrawn their offer on our house today! Not happy! why can't people just be honest!
To be honest he was a complete nob if I can say that! He said to me that he would have to extend the drive because his has a nice car and it wouldn't fit, so I asked "what kind of car" thinking it must be friggin massive not to fit on our drive (DH has the longest estate car in the world and that fits!) he had a smug look on his face and said a BMW 3 series convertible with private plate well it took all my restraint not to shout out nob head!!! DH just looked at me and I know he was thinking the same!!! His girlfriend was so lovely I wanted to take her aside and say in five years time u will realise he's a nob don't buy a house with him!!! rant over lol acutally just a bit more i
did look out the window and it did look nice but bet its well old as was old shape and no one has a private plate when its brand new these days!!!! Anyway we have someone else viewing tomorrow I hope it is a better viewing! And I'm not selling my nice house to any nobs lol in penis extension cars!!!
The house saga is providing a nice distraction from all things ivf and baby related so know how you feel it's all consuming this roller coaster that i'm quite releived not be talking or thinking about at the mo!!! A couple of people at work have asked if its worked as should be getting a BFP result this week!!! Its took all my will power not to cry!!! I'm not sure I can handle the stress and heartache of lots of cycles! I know that my brother and sister in law had eight or might of even been nine cycles (combination of fresh and frozen) and don't honestly know how they handled it not working! Its so bloody hard!!! They have just adopted a totally gorgeous daughter and are loving being mummy and daddy! DH is loving being an uncle although they live a long way away now and we haven't met her yet as she has only just been placed and there are a million rules but we have had fun shopping for girlie pressies and lots of chats on FaceTime lol We can't wait to meet her and are going away with them in July so that will be lovely!!!!
I'm not entirely sure I can give up yet though defo not after one failed not even complete cycle lol But its been hard this last week it's like a carrot being dangled so can see why us desperate ladies do it over and over again cos it might work I so hope I don't become one of the desperado weirdos with 200 dogs as substitute baby's lol I did say to DH the other day that we will buy a puppy omg I'm on a slippery slope lol but only have one dog at the mo lol
