Great news Em, it must feel great to know all is ok. 
Well the midwife saga is finally resolved. Basically I was given the wrong number for the wrong midwife by my doctors last week and when I rang I got through to delivery.  So I decided to text a message but had no reply. Today I rang the number and spoke to someone from maternity (receptionist) who told that midwife doesn't cover my area and stopped being a community mw a few years ago but she gave me the number of who I need. I rang mw and have an appt on Tuesday. I could have had appt on Monday but had to decline as I live in a village and my next door neighbour works for sure start where mw is based. Also I am a childminder and don't want my clients finding out just yet.

Emmilou that's fab news!
I've got a doctors appointment this evening. The morning sickness has been leaving me bed bound as I just can't move without feeling really nauseaus and weak. I don't really like the idea of taking drugs to control it but I honestly don't know what else to do. I will just see what he says first.
How does everyone else feel about this? |

Awe cake poor you, I agree see what the doctor says I am sure he will be able to help you hun let us know what you decide to do.
Em thanks for updating the EDD I worked myself out as the 5th of December but care said the 21st of November and i was a bit confused do they date you from your last period? The dates seem so long away till we can meet our jellybean's xxxxxxxxx |

Woohoo emmilou that's great news !!
My edd is 28.11.12 I've been discharged from care now. got to take progesterone and oestrogen until 15.05.11 (I hate them both equally). Phoned midwife's secretary "Laura" to let her know it was twins, she was shocked as she thought I'd phoned to cancel because I called out of hours dr on Saturday. she was really lovely about it. My mw appt is 24.04.11, should be next Tuesday but I start new job tomorrow and wanted to figure out what days I'm going to be working first.
I've eaten like a pig today! Started with mahoooosive bowl of rice crispies at 430am followed later by toast, Creme caramel, turkey salad sandwich , few crisps, 1 thorntons chocolate and a full roast beef dinner. That was all before 2pm and I'm ready for tea now. Omg I'm so hungry today!! Anyone else eating like a pig? |

I'm back from docs. Said he's very reluctant to give me anything unless he really really has to and that I should try and live with it til 12wks. He said after all the hard work to get here its best not to take anything that'll cock it up. I managed to hold it in until I got back to the car and then I started roaring. Another month of this!
I wasn't even sure I wanted to take anything for it , but the thought of having to last another month of 24/7 full blown nausea and being sick 3/4 times a day really upset me.
I know it will be worth it in the end and I am so grateful to even be at this stage. I'm such a wimp!
Anyway today I have eaten: A kiwi, a slice of toast with the crusts cut off cos the thought of crusts makes me ill and 2 tbsp of beans on top, and a petit filous yoghurt |

| Cake - have you tried all the "normal" remedies? Banana, rich tea, ginger biscuits, ginger tea, dry toast... Sorry, don't want to be mother sucks eggs.... I haven't had the nausea only waves of it. |

Hiya, sorry for butting in but just wanted to say congrats on the great scan news to my old thread buddies - so chuffed for you. Not long now Anna until you see your jellybean too!
Cakeforbrains I had really bad morning sickness with dd until 16 weeks (lost about a stone and a half) as was being sick 4/5 times a day. For me I got some anti sickness bands from the chemist for my wrists and lived on ice pops for the 16 weeks and cold salad. Everything would set me off from the smell of my husband, any deodorant, the oven being on, being in the car, weirdly the house details of the house we were buying at the time (and even now just thinking about the house details makes me queasy!!! Lol and we have been living in the house fir 7 years now).
I did not take anything for the sickness (as at the time did not know you could! - it does get better particularly once the placenta starts taking over. Hugs xxx

Oh cake, you poor thing. I'm the opposite, I feel sick which makes me want to eat more! I agree with Melissa try the sea sickness wristbands, I've heard they're good.
Melissa- great news about the adoption interview, you'll have to let us know how you get on. What age are you looking at? |

Cake sorry to hear you are really suffering. I've heard good things about the wristbands so probably worth a try.
Purdy - I have some days when I just seem to be eating but then it wears off. Seems to be so varied each day.
My EDD is 13 November:D
Couldn't face the Tescos shop so had a rather large Chinese tonight was absolutely lovely but now a bit bloated

Cake-don`t worry,if it gets worse there are some medication considered safe but if you can cope somehow with the nausea it`s better to wait.Sorry to hear you`re suffering.
Purdy-i`m eating like a pig too,i had no nausea so far and all i want to do is eat and sleep even at work ))))))
Melissa-best of luck with the adoption interview,let us know how it goes.I`m glad you feel positive and managed to move on even if it must have been hard for you.

Thanks ladies. I have been wearing the wristbands for the last 10 days. Not working at all.
Thanks for the link emmilou. Will look at it properly tomorrow when I'm more awake! I detest ginger so the thought of that makes me feel worse. Have tried toast and banana and rich tea. For some reason the rich tea seem really sweet to me at the min so can only have them when I'm not feeling sick!
I managed some fish pie earlier and even kept it down so at least I got some food in me! Just hope tomorrows the same. Feel awful for moaning about all this when we've tried so hard to get here. And earlier I hadn't felt sick for a couple hours and I got worried!!! Crazy
melissa, thanks for that. I know what you mean about the smells. I'm driving my OH mad! He's feeling very hard done by at the minute cos I won't let him have any hot food! |

| Cake - another one that is working elsewhere - tonic water. It must contain quinine which is natural but settles the tummy, and sip it only. Max 1 ltr a day..... |

Sorry not been on here much I am suffering from really bad nausea all time not as bad as cake tho not actually been sick yet, went to docs n they wouldn't give me anything either, he signed me off work for another 2 weeks tho
