Hi ladies hope you are all ok....

only a week till my scan not that im counting lol, very nervous but excited at the same time... when will we ever stop worrying!

Feeling ok today but im getting sick of pregnancy rhinitus now ive had it since 3 days past ET all I do is sneeze from the moment i wake up and have a stuffy/ runny nose all the time... i feel sorry for DH because i cant even get out of bed without it starting Sad

How is everyone else?

Hi Laura a week to my scan too. Also looking forward to it but nervous at the same time

Morning sickness has been lots better. Not being sick everyday but doing plenty of retching still. Just back from a relatives, she made us lasagna as I've managed to keep that down a few times before. Although this time it ended up on my front lawn - just couldn't make it to the house in time to be sick. Thank god nobody was passing at the time!

Hope your rhinitus clears up soon, that doesn't sound good

Hi Cake ooooo we are the same day how exciting Smile

mine is at 10.30am i will have been on nights but i doubt ill be tired, the excitement will be keeping me awake, my hospital letter says to drink a pint and half of water does yours?

You poor thing at least the lasagna was on ur front lawn, thank god no one was passing you may have been sick on them lol that would have been a story to tell your jellybeans.

I hope the rhinitis clears soon too hun although i really do feel for you ladies with the morning sickness it must be awful, ive been really lucky so far and missed it all together.

We are very quiet on here lately so really hoping you all and the little jellybeans are doing well Smile

Laura - yes my letter says to drink a pint and half of water too. No idea how Im going to manage that and not dash to the loo every 15 mins, my bladder aint what is used to be! My scan isnt until 2pm so its going to be a long day.

Had a bit more brown spotting again this evening. The MW said the other day, if I have anymore to let her know and she will arrange another scan but with it being Bank Hols I might as well wait til Friday anyway I suppose. If it gets any worse I will definitely see about it though

Hi ladies

Sorry for being quiet - wishing everyone luck for their forthcoming scans, will have to look back at the list. I am officially in my second trimester - off the pessaries (YAY!) and 100% natural Very Happy

Feeling quite good sickness has vanished and tiredness is easing off.

I`ve just received my scan appointment 21.05.12 @ 2 pm.I`m so excited Smile

))))

Otherwise i feel ok,no nausea eating a lot and tired but that is because i`m also working a lot.
I hope everybody is ok.

Hi ladies
Hope everyone's well, good luck emmilou for tomorrow and to everyone else with scans soon.
I'm booked in for my scan on Thursday 17th I'll be 12w1d. For the ladies who have had their 12w scan, did you get the results of your downs testing the same day?

My sickness has gotten a bit worse recently, I've escaped with nausea up until this week but I've been sick most evenings, I think it's when my stomach is empty. I've put on loads of weight too grrr I've enjoyed putting it on though lol ;p
The fella bought me some size 14 jeans, I could've decked him but then tried them on and they felt so comfy around my tummy, I shed a few tears too lol

Is anyone going to go to the baby exhibition in Birmingham 18-20th may? I think it's a bit early as I'll only be 12w3d but I can't see any other ones without travelling for hours. I think I'm going to go and see what's there. I'm kind of hankering after an iCandy pear pushchair, saw one while in meadowhall and had a little push with twins in. (not for long though as the parents caught me lol) joke . It's lush and you can get pink liners for them. Oh god please give me a little girl .

Right off to watch britains got no talent x

Hi all!

We have our scan this Thursday, soooo excited but nervous too. Also dreading having to drink a pint and half without been able to wee straight away!
Purdyspal, we are going to go to the baby show if all is ok on Thursday for a look and then probably go to the Manchester one at the end of August.

Finish my climival and pessaries this Sunday, can't wait to have normal pants again! Still feeling sick most of the time but straight after I eat Im still getting a horrible taste in my mouth so living on chewing gum to keep it at bay. Apparently it's called ptlyism and I can't wait for it to go! Still knackered too but just can't wait to be able to tell everyone!

Hi Ladies,
I`m so excited Smile

i bought a doppler and i was able to hear my baby`s heartbeat. Smile

)))))
It was 140-160,so nice to hear it......
You should try,i`m only 10 weeks today and i can hear it so you should be able to hear it too.

AFM, nothing new to report, still impatiently waiting for my scan, only 1 more sleep though! I'm almost weaned off the pessaries and Climaval. Stop taking them altogether on Sunday. Can't wait

Hi, scan was great, we have one very lively, wiggly baby in there! It wouldn't lay in the right position for the nuchal check though so have to have the blood test at 15 weeks. It all became very real today though and I now feel like I can start shopping! We're also starting to tell more people.

Good luck to all scanning tomorrow, it's just magic!

Thank you cake, I hope yours is great tomorrow! And yours too Laura.

I've just picked up a voicemail from the midwife, I have to have a vaginal scan next Thursday to check my cervix as I've had two biopsies and they want to make sure it's not incompetent. Better safe than sorry! If its a bit weak they may have to put a stitch in to keep it safe.

Scan was fantastic! I'm so so relieved. 2 little wriggly babies with strong heartbeats waving their long arms and legs about. And 1 was standing on its head! She said they were 6.7cm and 6.8cm and measured around 13weeks which is about right, I'm 12wks 5days today

Can't stop smiling! Hope your scan was just as fab Laura xx

Hi Ladies

Scan was fantastic too baby was sleeping so the sonographer disturbed him/her and then baby wasn't happy lol throwing arms and legs all over, got to listen to the heartbeat as well. Im so excited now, it still doesn't seem real....... cake fantastic news on your scan its just amazing isn't it? she said my bladder was too full tho so had to go to the loo typical Smile

hope everyone else is well, and good luck for the rest of your scans.

Em hope you and ur little ones are ok not herd from you for a while

ahh great news about your scans ladies Very Happy

puts the mind at rest that they are actually in there wiggling about.

AFM nothing really new - still feeling bloated and now can't blame the pessaries Sad

Work is manic - I'm running a seminar in Lisbon next week so everything is kicking off at once - typical! So if I'm quiet all is ok but stupidly busy xx

Yay a totally drug free day today! Been weaning myself off the pessaries and Climaval and feels strange not having to remember them today.

Ladyluck, I take it you travel a lot for work? How will you manage later in your pregnancy?

Great news on the scans ladies. I haven't been around as I have been feeling very sick. I can't wait to finish the metformin and utrogestran on Wed Smile

Got my scan on wed 23rd at 9.20 which has been a long wait for me as I have been getting very impatient.

Hi Cake - yes travel a fair bit but they understand my situation and after 25 weeks (maybe earlier) I won't be going anywhere apart from UK. Only have Portugal and Romania planned at the moment and possibly a Poland trip/ Was meant to go to Geneva the other week but it was my scan date so told them I wouldn't be going and they were fine about it. Also get to plan them in advance so trips next year should be easy to manage too and they are flexible.

My sickness is lots better. Still feel nauseaus everyday but Im only being sick 2/3 times a week now instead of 3/4 times a day! OH took me out for dinner yesterday as I was famished. Still cant stand the smell of food being cooked but its ok when we eat out. Managed half a pizza, could quite easily have eaten the rest too but I'd eaten far too much as it was. And it stayed down yay!

Got my first consultant appointment tomorrow. Anyone know what this involves?

Morning ladies, how's everyone doing?

Cake how did your consultant appt go? Have they put you on aspirin?

I had my scan, blood test and consultant appt yesterday. Both babies had a nuchal measurement of 1.50mm which I think is well within normal limits Smile

I've got to wait 2 weeks for my downs risk assessment Sad

The consultant advised me to think about amniocentesis as I,ll be over the 13w6d mark when results are through. I really don't have a clue what I'd do if I came back high risk but I'm thinking because I'm 37 I will anyway.

The babies are doing brilliantly, they looked so big on the scans , one was waving and they were moving around so much. Scan pictures are Â£5 each so we bought 5 for family but were given 6 free Smile

so we've got lots of different poses ;D twin 1 measured 12w4d and twin 2 12w0d which is brilliant because I was 12w1d. They've given me a new due date of 25.11.12 which makes me 12w5d today, 3 days ahead of my lmp. I'm not sure if anyone knows but my fet ended up changing to a natural cycle due to my body overriding the oestrogen tablets and I ended up ovulating. I honestly thought at the time that I had a small chance that I would get a BFP, how wrong was I? Smile

The consultant has put me on aspirin, 1 a day until delivery to keep blood pressure stable, my blood pressure is normal though. We also discussed delivery and providing baby 1 is in a head down position then I can have a natural birth. I can also be induced from 37 weeks if needs be but was told that I could deliver naturally then or before that. I'' not sure of exact numbers but I've put on about 1 stone, I know this is too much but I'm still waking up hungry and eating late at night too. I had 2 wheatabix at 10pm last night. It's the only thing that relieves the nausea.
Oh I bought a Doppler off a lady on here and it arrived on Wednesday and I was able to get a heartbeat straight away. Smile

I think sometimes it picks both heartbeats up as the reading goes over 200bpm. It's amazing !

Oh btw ladies on our Tesco photo counter they're selling key rings with little teddy charms attached, they are so cute my DP bought me one to put a copy of scan into. Smile

I've got loads of college work to catch up on as tiredness and lack of concentration has meant I've neglected it. Got my final exam for this year in a few weeks so best pull my finger out Smile

I've passed 6 exams already so would hate to let myself down on the final one.

Sorry it's such a long post, Its the first time in ages that I've actually had the energy to do it Smile
