Hi everyone,

Been crazy busy transferring all the business stuff into my name only (my business partner finally left) and changing things, not very exciting I know.

I have my 20 week scan on 12th July like you Purdy. I got a doppler and find it quite addictive. I could listen to the sound of the heartbeat all day long. My baby likes to hide so it is a bit of a game to find it but it tends to be found down low on the right and I am persistent! I have been feeling sensations low down which is definetely baby as they are the same as I had with DS. Currently suffering from heartburn at times.

I read but can't remember who was suffering with swollen ankles. I had bad swollen ankles last pregnancy and blood pressure was only just this side of high. I had to rest my feet and elevate them about the hips. I am hope I don't suffer as bad as last time.

Purdy - Where are you having your gender scan? I looked and it was going to be Â£79 for 1 I thought.

Hiya Anna good to hear from you. My OH has sorted the scan out so I'm not 100% sure but I gave him this website when he was ringing round http://www.windowtothewomb.co.uk/packages/. It starts at Â£45 for a singleton by the looks of it. My cousin went here last year.

how exciting we've got our 20e scans on the same day. What's your Edd now?

My EDD is 25th November now. When is yours?? I will look at the link. Last time we didn't find out the gender and we came out of the 20 week scan and DH said we should have found out. I said tough and wouldn't pay for a gender scan as I didn't want to know. This time I want to know so hoping we find out at 20 week scan but if not I will have a gender scan. Thanks for the link. I will be looking.

Snap! 25th November lol I was told full term will be 37 weeks so looking around bonfire night. Hopefully I'll be in some sort of routine for Xmas Smile

Hi ladies, good to hear you are well.

Purdyspal, not long til your gender scan. We're hoping to find out the sexes at the 20 wk scan on 4th July. Oh and my bump is huge! Been taking pics every week to compare and the difference even just from last week is amazing. Im so rounded now and its moving higher, I love it! I would put a pic on but Ive no idea how to !!

Anna, thanks for the congrats. Cant believe im getting married in 11 days!

Hi Ladies - back from holiday (not the best week weather wise!) and then straight into work today with a great fat bump! Off to Romania tomorrow for a couple of days for work and off camping at the weekend so it doesn't appear to want to calm down at the moment.

Good to hear everyone is doing so well.

AFM - I feel HUGE!!!! Just put our holiday pics on facebook and I just look terrible lol I've had a few funny twinges and aches in the left side of my expanding bump. Was quite concerned when I was on holiday that I called the hospital but they were pretty sure it was just stretching and moving around down there but if it got worse or I was worried to go to A&E but there probably wouldn't be much they can do. Still got it every now and again but I'm not too troubled by it now.

On count down now for my 20 week scan and then after that going to book our 4D one for a few weeks later.

Cake you must be getting really excited now for your big day - not long to go Very Happy

Having a major wobble today as had some pink spotting this morning (15w6d) and a bit more later when I wipe. I also feel premenstral/achey. I saw mw and we listened to the heartbeat and it was strong and baby was active. she did make me feel better. Been taking it easy today but after being relatively calm after 12 week scan I feel like I have to wait and see if it will turn to brown blood or red blood. I hate waiting. I just dont get why now. I know it is period time but I feel like a nervous wreck now.
As some of you know I have move onto Autumn post in bumps and bumps and just hope I have jinxed it.

Anna, I'm sure all is fine, like you say if its your period time anyway a lot of women still bleed then. It must be so scary but I've got everything crossed that's all it is. (((HUGS))). At least you know baby is doing good xx

Thanks Cake. It took me by surprise as I have had no bleeding till this point and I had none when expecting DS so it is unknown territory. Straightaway all I could think is I can't lose my baby. I have been using my doppler most of the day. I am just glad I bought it.

Hi All,
I`ve been on a short holiday in Lake District,very relaxing and now i`m back to work running around...
I hope you are all ok.
Anna-don`t worry,i was talking the other day with a friend who`s wife has had regular bleeds till week 20 and they have a perfect baby Smile

)))))
I am a bit anxiuos myself without any reason,maybe because it`s my first baby and we`ve waited that long for this miracle.I feel better since i have my own doppler and i listen to his(we think it`s a he Smile

) heart every other day.
I have my 20 week scan on 6.08 ,i`ll be 22 weeks,but next week i have a private scan to determine gender,at 16 weeks.

Just a quick update . . .All is ok with baby. No more spotting and the doppler has been a life saver.

Glad you have good news AMR, I may need to invest in a doppler but i think i'd find it addictive!!! I had my 2nd midwife appt couple of weeks ago & loved the doppler heart beat.

Got our 20 week scan on Fri 22nd June, still undecided whether or not to ask about bumps sex?!????

I'm waiting to feel the flutters (midwife said i will feel something soon) but haven't felt anything yet, how about you guys?

Evening Ladies - hope everyone is doing ok. Some of you are so organised out shopping already!! I haven't really done anything - I did pick up five newborn baby grows at a car boot a few weeks ago for Â£1 (love a bargain) and I have a few friends and family passing on some hand-me-downs - pram, car seat, Moses basket, maternity clothes and lots of other bits and pieces on their way to me which is great Very Happy

Work has gone manic just as I want to start slowing down I am travelling all over Europe - just back from Romania and next week heading off to Spain with a trip to Germany at some point soon too! Wouldn't mind too much but the plane and my ankles really do not get along - my ankles and feet are so swollen its horrid lol

Roll on 25 weeks so I have a good excuse not to go to an airport until next April Smile

Getting impatient for our 20 week scan now.

Aidil, what days your private scan? Bet you will be shocked at the difference to the 12wk

MissT I'm the same as you re the doppler. Some days I think it would be a great idea and others I think I will just worry myself silly if I can't find a heartbeat. I would definitely be addicted to it.

Ladyluck I wasn't planning on buying anything until after the 20wk scan but I saw a cotbed and a changing unit in our area on ebay and the were going really cheap so couldn't say no! Haven't bought any bits but because. We'd bought them my relatives decided it must be ok to start buying and giving hand-me-downs so we now also have 2moses baskets, a steriliser, a single pushchair, a playmat, about 20 babygrows and a few packs of nappies. I'm storing the big things at my dads so I don't jinx things!

Hope 25weeks comes quickly for you, sounds like your poor ankles need the rest

AFM, been having a few kicks the last few days, could only feel it on the inside at first but the last couple of kicks if I put my hand on my stomach I could feel it on the outside too so they're getting stronger! I'm loving it. And only 6days of planning left until we get wed! Got pretty much everything sorted now though
