Hi skinnylegs - Your situation mirrors exactly the same as what has happened to me recently (except I had a biochemical pregnancy). If you have to do a medicated fet, the time scales are pretty much the same as a fresh cycle. This is what I am doing at the moment. I can hopefully elaborate more for you, should you have any more specific questions. Sorry for your bfn, and good luck x
ps - I only have one frostie too!! |

Yep we certainly are skinnylegs! Truthfully I am more nervous than anything, it's such a lot to be riding on one frostie, but if we can just get past the thaw, then we have as good as chance as any. March the 3rd was day 21 for me (started to DR), AF being a bit stubborn at the moment, so still waiting, but when I had my last fet, from DR scan to fet, it took 18 days. Hope this makes sense? Hope you are bearing up okay? You sound exactly the same as me, chomping at the bit to get going again x

Yeah that's exactly what I'm doing!! Like u say though there's alot riding on one frostie and it has to survive the thaw. Do u have a plan b if it doesn't work for u? (please god it will) xxx

Plan B, hmmm, at this stage I am tempted to say we will try a fresh cycle Aug/Sept time, but if we fail again for whatever reason, I think some tougher, more probing questions will need to be asked at our next review. It is currently DH's sperm that is the cause of our infertility, however having said that I am soon to be 38, so a real bad match in actual fact. Was this your first attempt skinnylegs? x

No I had my first cycle in 2008 which was a miracle we got lucky first time and had our little boy Josh. I am trying to give josh a sibling that's my reason for going again, first time round it seemed far easier I had no side effects from the drugs and it was a breeze. This time round I am older obviously! I am 38 and the drugs made me so ill I felt so sick sore throat and my mood swings were just awful!!! This is why I'm pinning my hope on this little frostie as I 'm not sure my body can take another round or our bank balance!! Of course we are blessed to have Josh but it doesn't make the upset and hurt any easier. Have u any children already? Xx

No Lo's, but before you may feel awkward please don't, I have spoken to a few ladies on here, trying for their second, in their attempt to provide a sibling, and I get it, I really do! Sorry to hear that you have suffered with the drugs, but I hear you on the 'moods'. We have been pct funded thus far, so that has obviously helped. Lets both keep our fingers ever so tightly crossed that our little frosties come good for us x

It's so weird you know, you pray for one child and then when u finally get one - which u will honey, you are content but then when they start playschool and u realise that they are one of the only children who don't have brothers or sisters you become focused totally unselfishly in giving them one it's really strange. How did you find the stim drugs? What's biochemical I have no idea!? Xxx

My last cycle was a fet, which resulted in the biochemical. Basically I got a bfp on OTD, but it did'nt progress, and was over before it had even really started. It's classed as chemical because you will usually start bleeding before you get to the scan stage, in other words an extremely early miscarriage. It only becomes a clinical pregnancy once the heartbeat is seen. I found the fresh cycle really straight forward, much like yourself when you went through it for Josh, the only difference being I got a bfn. I was in a lot of pain after EC, and I think my poor body did'nt know what had hit it, hence why the fet was a real treat in comparison. I hope your prayers are answered again, and thanks for the encouraging words x
