we have our first consultation in a few weeks time and I need to lose another stone in weight to have the right BMI that Care require. I am only on 1000 cals a day, been doing alot of exercise, walking for 1 1/2 hours a day very quickly, zumba classes etc, but the weight is taking ages to come off. I am going to bed with a rumbling tummy every night.
I am worried that the consultant will say that he cant treat us until I have lost the weight and put us back until I do.
I am so stressed out about it and now feeling quite depressed that its never going to happen. |

P&h I know the feeling. I was a stone above on my first consultation but the dr still planned my treatment and said I had to lose the weight while I was having all the initial tests and counselling.
Are you in a slimming club or your own eating plan? Maybe you need to eat more if youre doing all that exercise x |

Don't forget sometimes too much exercise will develop muscle which is heavier.maybe try a couple of weeks without any and see how u go. I do weightwatchers and still lose whilst eating all my points allowance and not exercising

Becky that's made me feel less stressed now, knowing that, thank-you.
Fingersand toes crossed. Well done in your weight loss. I can't seem to fathoms the new points system on weightwatchers, find it confusing, my cousin has lost loads on it though.
I am doing my own thing at the moment, having a small bowl of shreddies for breakfast, 3 pieces of fruit throughout the day, then a low fat, no carb meal at night that is no more than 500 cals. I want it to come off quickly but it isn't happening.
My niece who has lost 3 stone with rosemary conley and is now size 10 has asked me to come with her to the classes. I think I will now, as I can't do it on my own and need some professional guidance.
Thank-you both for your replys, I do appreciate it. |

No problem. Good luck I am sure it will come off eventually and I am sure that if you are making positive actions towards losing it then all will be fine with the treatment.

Hi P&H,
It sounds to me as if you've put your body into starvation mode which means it's actually going to hold onto food and store it as fat. You need to eat more with all the exercise you're doing. I did Weight Watchers before my last treatment and loved the new plan but know lots of people that couldn't get on with it. Am hoping to lose the baby weight with all the info I got whilst doing it so I don't have to go back. My Mum does a No Count thing at Slimming World as she didn't want to weigh and point everything. Be wary of programmes that deliver your food to your door as I'm not sure that they work long term because they don't teach you to cook healthy meals from scratch. I lost my first stone at WW in about 8 weeks without much effort -I walked every lunch break for 30 mins, swam once a week and went to the gym every Sunday for an hour but that was it really, definitely not as much as you're doing
Best of luck,
Lx |

Hy P&H
I am wondering how you got on with your weight loss, well i hope. If not i just wanted to let you know about something i tried and it worked (for myself and hubby) its called 'whole 30' rather than a diet its sensible eating. Hubby lost 7 kilos the first month and 3 the next-so 10 kilos total. They reckon you will lose 6 kilo a month. A friend def did! Which we thought would NEVER happen after trying everything. I lost 9 kilo. I wasnt as strict as he was. But its healthy eating and you are not starving yourself and you dont count calories which can be very boring. You cut out carbs and dairy and the recipes are simple and quick. Its so worth a try and i had basically given up. We actually still eat like that now as it feels so much healthier. Best of luck!

Bebbies, well done. That is great you've lost that amount of weight. Where do you get the recipes etc from and has the diet got a name that I can Google??.
Well at long last perseverance has paid off, I only have 5lb left to lose to get to my goal. Took a long time, but am nearly there now... hoping that the egg donors don't run out by the time I get there. |
