Sandra Brett – Medical Director
Dr Brendan Ball – Lab Manager
After completing his primary degree, masters and PhD in Zoology at the National University of Ireland, Galway, Dr Ball spent 10 years in research, carrying out EU-funded multinational contracts based in the Martin Ryan Institute, National University of Ireland. In 2006, his experience was recognised with state registration from the Health Professions Council (HPC), in 2008 he was one of the first to qualify with ESHRE as a European Senior Clinical Embryologist and, later that year, was accepted for diplomat membership of the Royal College of Pathologists.
Dr Ball joined Beacon CARE Fertility from London Fertility Centre (LFC) in November 2011. He had worked at LFC as Scientific Director since July 2010 helping to drive forward the redevelopment and expansion of the business. Prior to his move to London, he spent nine years as a senior Clinical Embryologist at the Galway Fertility Unit in Ireland.
Dr Ball has been involved in helping to develop various programmes including: egg freezing using vitrification, a PGD and PGS programme, surrogacy, egg donation and the operation of a donor sperm bank. Dr Ball is an experienced ICSI practitioner.
Anna Fox – Nurse Manager
Anna graduated as a Registered Nurse from De Montfort University in 2004. After spending two years as a Surgical Nurse, she then joined Leicester Fertility Centre as an Fertility Staff Nurse.
After five years of education and extensive training as a Fertility Nurse Specialist, she managed an outpatient fertility service independently, then joined CARE Nottingham in 2011.
Anna has undergone many external training courses on managing fertility issues, and is a nurse sonographer accredited by the British Fertility Society.
Anna took up the post of Nurse Manager at Beacon CARE Fertility in December 2011 and is keen to ensure that the service provided by the Dublin team is of an exceedingly high standard and is committed to ensuring patients have a positive experience of fertility treatment.
Treasa Meehan – Administration Manager
Treasa leads our admin team and takes a special interest in all the patients at Beacon CARE Fertility.
