Michael Rimington MD FRCOG – Medical Director

Mr Rimington gained his accreditation as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in 1997 then quickly entered full time private practice as an infertility specialist. He started working in the field of assisted conception in 1992, gaining an MD in 1997. His area of special interest is the management of women with polycystic ovarian disease, on which subject he has published widely. In 2004 he joined with Mark Wilcox to form the South East Fertility Clinic and set up a new assisted conception service in Tunbridge Wells. He is the designated Person Responsible for the unit as registered with the HFEA.

Mark Wilcox DM FRCOG – Clinical Director

Mr Wilcox is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with his NHS practice at Pembury Hospital, Tunbridge Wells. He was appointed Consultant in 1995 and since then has developed his interest in reproductive medicine, in addition to continuing to work as a general obstetrician and gynaecologist. He continues to provide infertility services for Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and is the Trust's Clinical Director for Women's and Sexual Health.

Gavin Terry – Clinic Director

Gavin Terry Clinic Director CARE Fertility Tunbridge Wells

Gavin was appointed Clinic Director at CARE Tunbridge Wells in 2014, He leads by example a professional and efficient team who continue to provide a high standard of patient care with excellent results. Previously Gavin was Finance & Operations Manager, also taking the lead on all IT responsibilities. In addition Gavin has worked closely with the NHS and maintains the flow of NHS patients and contracts to the Unit. Gavin brings with him vast experience and will be leading the team to deliver new initiatives for the Clinic.

Frances Stevens – Nurse Manager

Frances is a qualified nurse and midwife with 20 years experience in the field of fertility and assisted conception. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. She is a member of the HFEA licensed centre panel and of SING (Senior Infertility Nurses Group). Frances joined South East Fertility in March 2012 to manage the nursing team.

Yvonne Lodge – Lab Manager

Yvonne Lodge is a state registered clinical embryologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. She has extensive experience in the field of embryology having started her career in 2002. She has worked in both private and public sector clinics and has travelled for work abroad. Yvonne joined CARE in 2015.

Fiona Foad – Deputy Laboratory Manager

Fiona has been a clinical embryologist since 1990 and is registered with the Health Professional Council as a Clinical Scientist. Whilst working in some of the largest clinics in the UK she has gained extensive experience of all aspects of embryology and sperm bank laboratory management. Fiona has helped set up IVF laboratories in India and Lithuania, as well as providing embryology expertise to clinics in Italy, Greece and Turkey.

Anne Springham – Quality Manager

Anne joined SEFC in July 2012 having worked in the public healthcare sector for more than 20 years. Her experience includes operational, customer services and quality roles in Women's & Children's Services, Patient Safety and Clinical Risk in acute and community hospitals. As the Tunbridge Wells Quality Manager Anne's role is to ensure, with the team, that the high standards of care expected by our patients, staff and regulatory bodies are maintained and closely monitored.

Sheila Swale – Administration Manager

Sheila Swale CARE Fertility Tunbridge Wells

Having worked for many years in the public healthcare sector running a busy multi-GP practice, Sheila joined SEFC in early 2007. Her previous experience in patient and practitioner liaison is particularly valuable and she is committed to ensuring that good communication and discretion remain top priorities at the clinic. In her role as Patient Liaison Officer, Sheila deals with the majority of patient enquiries and the booking of appointments. She also has responsibility for the Medical Secretary and administration of NHS patient services.

NHS patients

We are able to provide NHS funded treatment to patients in the Tunbridge Wells area if they meet the Commissioning policy eligibility criteria. The criteria includes age, female body mass index (BMI), smoking status, AMH level and whether the couple already have a child/children.
