Has considerable experience of infertility management. He qualified at University College in London, and was registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, at Newcastle General Hospital . During two years research in endocrinology, he developed and continued to pursue an interest in fertility and gynaecological endocrinology at UCH (London) and subsequently as a lecturer at the University of Sheffield. In 1992 he was appointed Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Derby City General Hospital. The fertility unit was set up in 1994 when Mr Darne became Unit Director.

Worked as a gynaecological ward sister in Nottingham from 1980 to 1988 then moved to Derby City General Hospital as ward sister again on a gynaecological ward. Jayne joined Mr Darne to set up the fertility services unit at The Derby City General Hospital.

Worked in the field of gynaecology as a sister for 23 years, and joined the team in the fertility unit at Derby City General Hospital in 1997.

Has worked in the field of gynaecology as a senior staff nurse for 7 years and has a wide experience in womens health.

Jeanette qualified as a nurse in 1993 and has worked as a senior staff nurse in gynaecology for 10 years where she gained substantial gynaecological experience. She joined the fertility team in January 2008.

Lisa joined the team in 2007. Although new to the NHS she has several years of administrative experience.

Lyn joined the team in June 2008 and also works in the Gynaecology Outpatients Department.

Maria joined the team in 2007 having worked on the inpatient gynaecology ward for 2 years. She previously worked as a team administrator for social services.
