Audrey Dearing, Genetic Counsellor
Audrey Dearing is Principal Genetic Counsellor across the Care Fertility group, providing specialist genetic services to individuals across the UK and Ireland. She is committed to providing support to individuals concerned about their family history of genetic conditions, or those seeking to learn more about their genetic makeup.Audrey completed her BSc in Genetics from University College Cork, Ireland in 2013, and graduated with distinction from the MSc in Genetic Counselling in Cardiff, Wales in 2015. She achieved registration with the Genetic Counselling Registration Board (GCRB) in 2018.
Audrey began her career as a genetic counsellor in 2015, when she worked for St George’s Hospital in London. In 2019, she moved to Guy’s Hospital to work as a Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis specialist. She joined the Care Fertility group in 2022 to continue to provide advice and support to individuals seeking fertility treatment which requires genetic input.
Her specialist interests include Preimplantation Genetic Testing and extended carrier screening.
