Dr Shilpi Pandey
Training
Shilpi graduated with Honours and several gold medals in MBBS in 1997. She did her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2002 from India. She started training in the UK in 2002 and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists in 2003. She completed her specialist registrar training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Wales Deanery and obtained CCST. She went on to successfully undertake a clinical and research fellowship in Assisted Reproduction Unit of the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. During her fellowship, she gained extensive clinical and research experience in reproductive medicine and assisted conception. She has additionally, obtained British Fertility Society certification in pelvic scanning, assisted conception, management of male sub-fertility and quality management.
Career
She has over 20 years of clinical experience spanning Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine. She has been a Consultant at Care Fertility Nottingham since 2012. She became a Fellow of Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists in 2015. She became the Medical Director in 2019. She has extensive experience in all areas of reproductive medicine namely preimplantation genetic testing, egg donation, recurrent implantation failure and fertility preservation.
Shilpi chose assisted reproduction and IVF as a career because she is extremely passionate about family. Nothing makes her happier than fulfilling the deep desire of her patients to have families of their own.
Research
Shilpi has been extensively involved in research and has several first author publication in highly reputed peer reviewed journals and has been cited over 800 times. She has held several research grants and has presented in National and International meetings and has been an invited speaker in several meetings. She has been involved in teaching and training.
