IVF Refund Programme

The IVF Refund programme offers up to a 100% refund if you do not have a baby following treatment.

What is the IVF Refund Programme?

The IVF Refund programme enables patients to save at least 1/3 on up to three IVF or ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) treatments. Dependent upon your age, you can choose a three-cycle IVF plan with a refund of either 50%, 70% or 100% of fees if you treatment is not successful.

Opting for the IVF Refund plan offers good chances of success as you’re able to receive up to three IVF cycles at this discounted fee.  A plan like the IVF Refund programme makes the process significantly cheaper compared to paying for each round separately.

Who is eligible for the IVF Refund programme?

Unlike other funding programmes, the IVF Refund programme is available to all patients aged 39 years and under. To qualify for treatment, you must:

  • Be aged 39 or under
  • Using your own eggs
  • Undergo a medical review prior to treatment

It is important to note that different cycles of treatment, and their according refund plans, are available to different age groups.

  • I am aged under 35 years old - Patients aged under 35 can access all options which include three cycles with a 50% refund, three cycles with a 70% refund, three cycles with a 100% refund, and two cycles with a 50% refund.
  • I am aged 35 - 37 years old - Patients aged 35 - 37 can choose 3 cycles with a 50%, 70% or 100% refund, or 2 cycles with a 50% refund option
  • I am aged 38–39 years old - Patients in the 38–39 years age bracket can access three cycles with a 50% refund if unsuccessful.

What is included in the IVF Refund programme?

Our IVF Refund programme include all the essential aspects of your IVF or ICSI treatments

  • Cycle monitoring
  • Egg collection
  • Embryo transfer
  • Freezing and storage

Each programme includes embryo freezing and a year of storage.

Extra treatment benefits

The package also include blastocyst culture and our unique embryo time-lapse imaging, CAREmaps:

CAREmaps time-lapse imaging

Normal cost: £775 | Cost on programme: Free

We established the use of time-lapse imaging to monitor development of IVF embryos and work out which had a higher chance of a live birth, we use our unique algorithms to assess which embryos to implant. We call this CAREmaps and it’s not available in any other clinic. It would normally cost over £700, but it’s included in the price of the IVF Refund plan.

Blastocyst culture

Normal cost: £425–495 | Cost on programme: Free

Because a blastocyst culture takes longer, it would normally cost extra. On the IVF Refund programme, and our other Access Fertility plans, it’s included in the price. Whereas during a standard cycle the embryos would be developed for two to three days in a lab, blastocyst culture takes five to six days and can mean an increased chance of a live birth.

Frequently asked questions

With 15 locations across the UK, the IVF Refund programme is available at all CARE Fertility clinics, all based in major UK locations for easy access. Find your nearest CARE Fertility clinic, in places like Nottingham, Bolton, and Sittingbourne, to locate where you can access the IVF Refund programme.

Yes, you will need to have a medical review to qualify for the benefits the IVF Refund programme offers. The process helps us understand which of our 50%, 70% or 100% treatment programmes would be recommended for you. It’s worth remembering there’s a 90% acceptance rate to join Access Fertility’s IVF Refund programme, so there’s a good chance you’ll pass the review.

You’ll come to your local CARE Fertility clinic where we’ll do some investigatory tests. We then send that to Access Fertility, with your permission, and within two weeks they’ll assess your test results and look at any previous treatment you’ve had. Although there are no set criteria, having had three cycles would mean your likelihood of being accepted is lower.

Refunds aren’t offered if you are successful before the end of a full programme. It’s also not possible to use any remaining cycles later.

Age is determined based on how old you are when you pay for the programme. So it would be possible to turn 40 after payment and still receive treatment.
