Mark Sedler is one of CARE Manchester’s Reproductive Medicine Consultants and has been with CARE for 9 years.
Mark qualified and trained in Merseyside. He was a clinical Research Fellow in reproductive medicine at the Assisted Conception Unit, Leeds General Infirmary and completed his obstetric and gynaecology training in the Yorkshire region.
Mark has extensive experience in all aspects of reproductive medicine, assisted conception and IVF. He is Manchester’s clinical lead for preimplantation genetic screening (PGS).
In 2010, CARE Manchester had one of the country’s first babies born using this very advanced treatment. In 2015, Mark led Manchester team’s participation in the first multicentre, international clinical trial evaluating the effectiveness of PGS. The results of this have recently been published by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
He has been instrumental in setting up an unparalleled supervision service for patients from the orthodox Jewish community - an exceptionally important aspect of treatment for patients from the Jewish community.
