Care Fertility Plymouth Fee Schedule

This will give an indicative costs for various treatments available in our Plymouth Clinic.

Pre-treatment

Consultation

Treatment consultation

Your consultation will be booked for 45 minutes and your consultant will review your medical history and the results of your fertility investigations. At the end of the consultation, they will recommended an individualised treatment plan or recommend additional tests. If you do need extra tests there will be additional cost and your consultant may not be able to provide a full treatment plan until the test results are known

Fertility MOT Consultation

Your consultation will be booked with a fertility specialist and also includes A Pelvic ultrasound scan for patient (if required), Semen Analysis / pelvic ultrasound for partner (if required) and one Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH) blood test (if required). Please note; if you decide to proceed to treatment, an additional consultation may be required at a cost of £150

Pre-Consultation Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your appointment any time before the 14 day cancellation period ends. Once we have provided the services you cannot change your mind, even if this is within 14 days of the date of confirmation of your appointment. If you cancel your appointment before the cancellation period ends, then we will refund any fees paid in full in relation to your consultation. If you cancel your appointment after the cancellation period ends, then we will still refund you in full provided you give us 48hrs notice prior to the date of your consultation. If you do not attend your appointment without giving notice of cancellation then we will not refund any fees paid in relation to your consultation. If you have completed pre-consultation tests, but choose not to attend your consultation, we will provide you with a copy of those test results and will refund any consultation fees in line with our cancellation policy, but you will not be eligible for a refund for cost of the test services provided. Further information is available on our website and in our terms and conditions which are provided at the time of booking.

Recommended screening

If you have had an AMH, TSH or vitamin D test or scan within the last six months or a diagnostic semen analysis test within the last year, you can share the results with your chosen Care clinic, and these tests won’t usually need repeating

Estimated drug costs for the known donor’s ovarian stimulation: Our medication is tailored to each donor based on their medical history and blood test results. 73% of our patients have a treatment plan with drug costs between £935 and £1911. Some donors – usually those over 35 – need extra medication. It’s challenging to estimate likely medication costs, but they can range from £935 to £2595. Please be reassured that we will tell you the exact cost of the drugs we recommend before you decide to start treatment.

Infectious and genetic screening for your known donor

The cost of any further frozen embryo transfer is NOT included.

Infectious screening for the egg provider

We recommend that patients plan for the potential cost of freezing surplus embryos. Having frozen embryos allows further frozen embryo transfer treatment without repeating all medical interventions or incurring the costs of a complete treatment cycle. This option gives our patients the best chance to have or complete a family. The first year of storage is also included and is only payable if not included in treatment.

If your frozen donated embryo does not survive the thawing process or you are withdrawn from the treatment by your clinician for clinical reasons or if you withdraw from treatment after starting your treatment, you will be refunded your package fee less £2,000 which is the cost of infectious and genetic screening of the egg and sperm provider; counselling support and preparation of the egg and sperm provider for donation; transfer of your embryos to your chosen Care Fertility clinic, and; your support and preparation for treatment.

Infectious screening

UK law requires patients providing eggs or sperm for treatment to be screened for HIV and hepatitis three months before their first treatment cycle and once every two years. All UK clinics have to do this and please factor in the cost of these tests when comparing prices. If you are coming to Care for the first time and have the results of previous tests, you may not need to repeat the screening tests.

Known Sperm Donation

This includes genetic/clinical history assessment of the known sperm donor, semen analysis, donation consultation, infectious and genetic screening, counselling, consents, sperm processing and freezing, quarantine and post quarantine infectious screening, payment of donor expenses and one year storage. The cost of treatment using the frozen donor sperm is not included 4,835 Refunds: If for any reason your donor does not complete the donation process, you will be refunded part of the known donor fee dependant on the stage at which the donor discontinues. A refund of £4150 will be issued if the donor participates in any of the initial donation steps (counselling, assessment) but not infectious screening. This could be due to there being no sperm at semen analysis, or the donor changing their mind, for example. A refund of £950 will be issued if the donation process cannot be completed beyond the initial screening to the point of the final post quarantine screening. Once the donor completes the post quarantine screening, after sperm freezing, no refunds are payable.

Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT-A)

This optional embryo selection treatment is recommended to patients where the eggs for treatment are provided by someone aged over 36 or to patient couples who have experienced recurrent miscarriage. PGT-A can only be provided in an elective freeze all IVF treatment cycle.

Freezing and storage of eggs or sperm for fertility preservation

All patients freezing eggs or sperm must have standard infectious screening tests unless they can provide the results of tests from three months before freezing. UK law requires infectious screening at the time of freezing if future surrogacy treatment is planned or likely – your clinic can share these costs once future treatment plans are known
