Dr Alison Bateman manages our IVF monitoring service at Lancaster. Since she launched the service two years ago, it has been very positively received by patients. They love the convenience of local monitoring and reduced travelling time, and the caring and professional service given by Dr Bateman.

Dr Bateman can now offer the service to patients who are having private fertility treatment from North Lancs area and beyond. 

About Dr Alison Bateman

Dr Bateman has worked as a GP partner in Lancaster at Queen square medical practice since 1994. In 2008 she decided to further her women’s health interest and obtained a Diploma for Practitioners with a Special Interest via Bradford University. During this time she developed an interest in fertility treatment and became aware of a service gap in the North Lancs area. So she went on to develop a fertility service which takes referrals from all local GPs in Lancs North CCG. Alison developed links with CARE Fertility in 2011 and obtained the British fertility Ultrasound Certificate with training at CARE Manchester in 2015. This means she can provide monitoring scans in Lancaster for local patients undergoing IVF treatment at CARE Manchester.
