Alison Rastrick
Clinical Embryologist
Alison works at Care Woking as one of the Embryology team.
Training
Alison trained through the NHS Scientist Training Programme (STP), completing a MSc in Clinical Science. The STP is a three-year training programme, which involved an academic aspect at Manchester Metropolitan University and full-time clinical experience at Care Woking.
My favourite thing about being an embryologist is being able to help our patients understand their treatment and guide them through the process. I hope that I help our patients feel understood and valued. I love working in the laboratory and it still absolutely astounds me how amazing embryo development is. It really is a privilege to be able to do this work.
