Emily Murfin

Donation Practitioner
Emily’s current role is supporting donation patients throughout their fertility journey. Emily works with egg recipients, sperm recipients, shared motherhood patients and also is part of the donor team whereby she helps recruit egg donors, sperm donors and embryo donors.

Training

Emily trained to become a Midwife at Anglia Ruskin University, achieving a First-Class Honours Degree, and also studied at the University of Bedfordshire for her postgraduate degree in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing, in which she achieved a Distinction.

My favourite aspect of this job is helping patients achieve their dream of having a family. Working in the Donation team is incredibly rewarding and I love being able to follow my patient’s throughout their journey.

Career

Following Emily’s postgraduate degree, she began her career in health as a Health Visitor in Lincolnshire where she worked closely with children under five years of age and their families. In 2022, Emily joined Care Fertility as a Donation Midwife and has since developed in the role through becoming an Independent and Supplementary Prescriber at the University of Nottingham and now works as a Specialist Practitioner in Fertility Care in the Donation team.
