Gina Aldis

Senior Embryologist

Gina oversees all embryology procedures at Care Fertility Birmingham and manages the day-to-day running of the laboratory at Care Fertility Tamworth. She ensures seamless coordination between the two laboratories for their shared patients.

Training

Gina studied her undergraduate degree at Nottingham University, and later achieved a Distinction for her Master’s degree in Clinical Embryology from Leeds University.

Career

Gina's career began in assisted reproduction in sheep and cattle. In 1999, she transitioned to IVF, undergoing training at Midland Fertility Services, which later became Care Fertility Tamworth in 2019. Gina now works across Care Fertility Birmingham and Care Fertility Tamworth, ensuring continuity of care and a positive patient experience across both clinics.

Specialities and Credentials

With extensive experience in Embryology, Gina played a pivotal role in setting up the oocyte freezing programme at Midland Fertility in 2000. As a biopsy practitioner, she is dedicated to improving results through fine-tuning practice. The lab at Care Fertility Tamworth, under gina's guidance, holds accreditation by UKAS to ISO15189 for diagnostic semen analysis. Gina works very closely with the Andrologist and the Andrology Focus Group to maintain these standards.
