Helen works remotely recruiting egg donors for all of our Care fertility clinics, she helps to assess and process donors journey from first consultation up to egg collection and through to follow up care.

Training

Helen has been a fertility nurse since 1999, prior to this she was a specialist nurse and unit manager in the NHS. Whilst working in the NHS she obtained her scanning certificate from the university of Bournemouth, and her independent and supplementary non-medical prescribing certificate at Liverpool John Moores University. Helen has had lots of training along the way, some external and some in-house, all of which has lead to her being able to successfully fulfil this role.

Career

Helen qualified as 2nd level registration in 1984, and converted to 1st level registration 1995, she worked mainly in women’s health for the NHS from qualifying, and started at Care fertility 2015 working as specialist nurse and clinic manager. Helen moved to donation in 2021 and is now working as egg donor recruitment nurse practitioner.

Specialities & Credentials

Helen has always worked in women’s health, and is specialised in emergency gynaecology, early pregnancy and fertility, and now donation. She loves scanning and is a proficient non-medical prescriber, she has also has a teaching certificate ENB certified and loves to teach junior members of the teams to spread her knowledge and expertise.

Helen is a member of the British Fertility Society and the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
