Julian Mamiso is a consultant at Care Fertility Bath.

Training

Dr Julian Mamiso graduated from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1978, and subsequently became a member of the RCOG in 1986 and a fellow of the RCOG in 2000.

Career

Julian began practicing in Assisted Conception in 1993, and was involved in setting up the first private Assisted Conception unit in Wales. The Cromwell IVF Centre started providing IVF treatments in Jan 1995 and it developed into a regional centre of significance. It developed a Satellite in Cardiff and eventually the main hub moved to Cardiff as the London Women’s Clinic Wales.

Julian later spent over 5 years as a Consultant at the Dubai Fertility Centre, United Arab Emirates, before returning to the UK. There he started up the relocated Cromwell IVF Centre in Darlington, County Durham, and has since worked at many leading fertility clinics, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of fertility treatment.

Specialities & Credentials

Julian has a particular interest in managing treatments using donor gametes, surrogacy, shared motherhood, single mothers, and LGBTQ patients.

Julian loves speaking with patients at open evenings and information events, but equally enjoys sharing his experience within the medical community, such as speaking in 2017 and 2019 at the annual conference of the Association of Fertility and Reproductive Health, Nigeria, of which he is a member.
