Dr Ksenia Alex

Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist
Dr Ksenia Alex is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with special interest in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Care Fertility Manchester. Dr Alex also works for Northern Care Alliance and is a Clinical Subfertility Lead for the Royal Oldham Hospital.

Training

Dr Alex completed a 3-year fellowship at Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust in the Hewitt Centre, Reproductive Medicine Unit. This was followed by training in reproductive surgery at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, which included valuable experience at Manchester Royal Infirmary and St Mary’s Hospital.

Career

Dr Ksenia Alex earned her medical degree in 1997 from St Petersburg Paediatric Medical Academy, before relocating to the UK to complete her postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with a focus on Reproductive Medicine. Holding a PhD in Reproductive Pharmacology, Dr Alex has developed a keen interest in subfertility, specifically related to Endometriosis, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), and Reproductive Surgery. Her passion lies in addressing subfertility associated with endometriosis and exploring gynaecological endocrinology. Dr Alex dedicated time between 2017 and 2020 to gain experiences in managing reproductive aspects of endometriosis patients in Europe and Russia.
