Louise Kellam
Training
Louise studied at Leicester University, specialising in Biology and Assisted Reproduction. With a focus on embryology laboratory management, she developed and expertise in extended blastocyst culture. Louise has also been instrumental in training others in micromanipulation techniques like ICSI and embryo biopsy, both in the UK and overseas.
Career
Louise began her career as an embryologist at King's College London and held a senior embryology position with Care Fertility since its inception in 1997. Throughout her career, Louise has worked as an embryologist at several clinics globally, including in Egypt, Italy and Australia. She has played a crucial role in establishing and improving Care Fertility's early embryology practices. Since 2020, Louise has been managing sperm donor recruitment and the donor sperm cryobank.

Louise's current role involves the management and development of the cryobank, where she focuses on driving standards, implementing best practices, and improving donor availability. She works with embryologists to develop the laboratory processes for donation and actively contribute to expanding the number of donors available in the cryobank.
Louise has made significant contributions to the field of reproductive medicine thought her numerous scientific abstracts, publications and book chapters. Louise recently authored a chapter in "50 Big Debates in Reproductive Medicine" and presented an abstract at the Fertility 2022 conference.

Louise is an experienced clinical embryologist, a State Registered Clinical Scientist, member of the Association of Reproductive and Clinical Scientists, and a Diplomate of the Royal College of Pathologists.
