Group Donation Lead
Selina manages, develops and coordinates the donation department at Care Fertility. The donation department is made up of the donation services team, egg and sperm donor support teams and the Egg bank and Sperm bank teams.

Training

Selina has a Diploma in Nursing and a BSc First class honours degree in Midwifery. She is trained as a nurse prescriber and has worked at master’s level.

Career

Selinas 12 years’ experience working for the NHS as a district nursing Sister and with an interest in Women’s health, practised as a midwife for 2 years. She started her career working in the donation team in Manchester and with a real interest in third party reproduction has been working for Care for 12 years.

Selina currently manages the donation department and their respective teams, these teams are made up of specialised and registered donation practitioners and donation coordinators who support patients and donors at all 18 of the Care clinics. Selina strives for best practice and is passionate about ensuring patients requiring donation or surrogacy and donors wanting to kindly donate have an exceptional experience through their journey at Care.

Specialities & Credentials

She is particular interesting in donor recruitment and ensuring that the pathway is safe and effective for donor. She played a major role in aligning the pathway for donors throughout the Care group, which has resulted in a nurse-led service, single point of access for donors, safe protocols, and continuity of care. Feedback from donors has been something to celebrate.
