IVF – in vitro fertilisation is a technique which involves collecting eggs from the ovaries then fertilising them with sperm in the laboratory. We monitor the embryos as they develop and then transfer the embryo/s at the most suitable time to the womb
Reproductive genetics – the latest screening techniques to help you have a healthy family
Donation programme – If you need donor eggs or sperm our donation programme is one of the most successful in the UK
Recurrent Implantation Failure Screening - If you've experienced a miscarriage or implantation failure, we can carry out tests to identify issues with your hormones, blood clotting, immune system or genetics.
Fertility Preservation - Eggs and sperm can be preserved by freezing for treatment later
Same-sex couples - We offer all kinds of IVF treatment, including surrogacy, to help you start or grow your family.
We always remain focused on the individual needs of all of our patients. We never forget what treatment means to you.
Instead of performing an embryo transfer several days after egg collection, we freeze all your embryos for around 6 weeks, or until we are satisfied that the lining of your womb is prepared and optimised for a thawed embryo transfer. This is also known as a Frozen Embryo Transfer. The treatment approach is known as Freeze-all IVF and we are now offering this at CARE fertility Tamworth.
Freeze-all is being used increasingly in IVF clinics as it is proven to be best practice, necessary and effective for several groups of patients and also delivers benefits for all patients. There is emerging evidence that transferring your thawed embryo a few weeks after your eggs are collected, when the treatment medication is no longer in your system, can improve your chances of pregnancy.
For our freeze-all treatments, the clinical pregnancy rate per (frozen) embryo transferred is 39% (Jan to Dec 2021. Results for all female age groups combined).
As a patient of CARE Tamworth, all stages of your treatment, apart from egg collection, will conveniently take place there. Your egg collection will take place at CARE Birmingham.
Births per egg collection (Latest HFEA data, 1 Jan 2016 to 31 Dec 2016)
|Age group||Births per egg collection||HFEA National Average|
|38 and over||20%||22%|
We know that when you're thinking about IVF, success rates are one of the key pieces of information you need. Understanding success rates can be a challenge and fertility clinics present their success rates in many different ways. We think one of the most useful and simple ways to present success is the birth per egg collection rate.
This is because it provides patients with their chance of a birth within two years of one egg collection, and course of treatment. This can include a fresh and a number of frozen transfers of embryos all created from the egg collection.
Birth per egg collection results are published on the HFEA website and are taken from the most recent verified data available for all UK clinics from egg collections during 2016 and embryo transfers within 2 years.
To achieve high success rates we develop a personalised fertility treatment plan for you based on your medical history, test results and which treatment which will give you your greatest chance of success. We have the expertise, range of treatments and the dedication to help you have a baby.

We've put together a guide of what your IVF costs could be. These are typical costs but remember each and everyone's treatment is unique and costs can vary. View CARE Fertility Tamworth's full price list.

We are currently patients of CARE Tamworth, and have also used CARE Fertility Birmingham as part of our treatment. Our treatment planning, blood tests and scans were all done at Tamworth and our egg collection and transfer were done at Birmingham as part of their new system.
We were a little nervous about having to go to Birmingham as we had previously had all treatment with Tamworth when we had our son and could not fault the team and the care we had. However, we have to say that our experience with Birmingham has also been really positive. Staff from both Tamworth and Birmingham have been supportive, professional and patient.
From my wife's point of view she has felt very much included in the process which was very important for both of us. We would definitely recommend CARE Fertility, you can be sure you will be well looked after.
